Rand Paul denies he's pro-amnesty
WND ^ | June 12 2014 | Jerome R. Corsi

Posted on 06/12/2014 12:28:44 PM PDT by PoloSec

NEW YORK – The office of Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., has issued a statement to WND firing back against any suggestion that his participation in a conference call Wednesday held by a group that supports immigration reform indicates he favors amnesty for illegal aliens.

“Sen. Rand Paul never embraced amnesty on the call,” his office stated in an email. “Sen. Paul has never advocated for amnesty in any other forum and he voted against the Senate immigration bill.

-SNIP-

A column by Paul on immigration was published by Breitbart News Thursday morning. Paul writes that he’s “for immigration reform because I am against allowing 12 million more illegal immigrants into our country.”

“If we do nothing, 12 million more illegal immigrants will come. We must be in favor of reform — smart reform that starts with border security,” he says.

Then he states emphatically: “Characterizing that position as ‘amnesty’ is simply untrue.”

Paul says the status quo “is a lawless border.”

Rand Paul is EVERY BIT AS DUPLICITOUS AS ERIC CANTOR. And don’t doubt that he is now and will continue to be for AMNESTY even though he may use different names for it to hide what he supports.

Yeah because legalizing all the lawbreakers means they aren’t lawbreakers anymore....seems logical

O.K., Paul, if you really mean that, meet with immigration enforcement groups to come up with a proposal, rather than meeting with amnesty groups. Lead an effort to shut down any future vote on “comprehesive immigration reform” until the border has been secured to the satisfaction of NumbersUSA, FAIR, and Alipac. Then we can talk about a guest worker program.

Seems to have a problem with that foot in mouth disease. I like Sen Paul, but I can’t do the open borders thing. And that’s where he’s coming from.

I honestly don’t think Sen Cruz will be on the ballot. At least by the time the VA gop has monkeyed with the ballot. So, it’s looking less and less likely that I’ll be participating in the electoral sham in 2016.

Is this true? I thought we already had laws and a border patrol (albeit, LEOs with their hands tied,) already in place.

Rand is simply not being truthful about the political facts and opportunism on this illegal immigration nightmare.

The only reason for our lawless border is that Paul and the rest of the subhuman excrement that occupy DC allowed it to become that way.

In other words he helped kill his parents and now he wants support because he’s an orphan.

FOAD, Paul. You and Daddy both.

It ain't RAND PAUL!

FWIW Free Republic is officially Ted Cruz country.

But Rand Paul is a duplicitous turncoat to the grassroots people who got him elected and who has officially made his bed with the Republican Establishment.

His views on abortion are even worse than his views on immigration.

Are you a Rand Paul supporter?

Exactly. It depends on what ones definition of anmesty is. Unfortunately for Paul we have heard his definition to many times. Now he is trying to walk some of it back.

So Rand is pro-abortion and pro-amnesty? Any quotes from him that specifically say that?

I support no one as of right now, but I'm not naive to think a conservative has a shot when the establishment and democrats will do whatever they can, even work together, to make sure a conservative doesn't win. I will also not vote for a candidate just because he/she has a R next to the name.

If he’s talking compromise, I haven’t seen it, and I didn’t see any quotes on this thread from him stating it. If I do, I’ll drop him like a hot pocket. Compromise being, allowing the invaders to stay.

But, I doubt you can find one “conservative” politician in office who agrees with my position.

Rand Paul is opposed to abortion in all cases.

__________________________________

Oh really?

Paul: I think that once again puts things in too small of a box. What I would say is there are thousands of exceptions. I’m a physician and every individual case is going to be different. Everything is going to be particular to that individual case and what is going on that mother and the medical circumstances of that mother…. There are a lot of decisions made privately by families and doctors that really won’t, the law won’t apply to, but I think it is important we not be flippant one way or the other and pigeon hole and say this person doesn’t believe in any sort of discussion between family and physician.

Blitzer: It sounds like you believe in some exceptions.

Paul: Well, there is going to be like I say thousands of extraneous situations where the life of the mother is involved and other things that are involved so I would say that each individual case would have to be addressed and even if there were eventually a change in the law let’s say people came more to my way of thinking there would still be a lot of complicated things the law may not ultimately be able to address in the early stages of pregnancy that would have to be part of what occurs between the physician and the woman and the family.
