Basically, he was insulting his former state, saying they are a bunch of stereotypes out of deliverance. Anyway, though, I detect that there is truth in this jest.
They may Robert Byrd him and wheel him drooling in for votes. then shame the heartless TEA party for elder abuse if complaints are made.
You’re probably right.
I wonder at the speechwriter who thought this would be a ‘funny’ thing to say.
An earlier thread with some 150 comments if anyone is interesting in reading them.
God knows what possesses these fools. It’s one thing for you or I to joke about sheep love. We arent running the country. It is wholly another for a freaking CONGRESSMAN/SENATOR/PRESIDENT to do it.
So! Thad, thweetheart, this is the way to endear yourself with "the little people" how?
About 1 1/2 minute video at the following link of his statement.
Too much duct tape.
He’ll probably get the mooselem vote now . . . they like to do indecent things with animals also, besides using them for driver’s education.
The pubbies are stupid

Deliverance Man (Thad Cochran): “He got a really pretty mouth, ain’t he?”
GOP, go ahead and throw your money at this idiot. MAKE MY DAY!
He’s the RINO version of Joe Biden.

Why then can congress critters stay until the age of senility when their decisions can negatively affect the national security of the nation and the lives of millions of its citizens?
I guess that logical thinking is not a part of the human condition
“You know, funny thing, the ferret was the first thing that popped in my head LOL”
In San Francisco, I understand Gerbills are in demand. SF General has developed a “procedure” for “removing them.”
That’s what I was wondering too. Wiener might be calling soon to offer advice.
When I hear that I am thinking firecrackers and frogs
I think he was probably referencing shooting birds with BB guns and things like that. Surely he was not talking about stump breaking a heifer.
