Japanese are polite to muzzies, but the actual level of scrutiny that the authorities subtly (and sometimes not so subtly) pay to them is pretty amazing.

After this type of thing, that scrutiny will get kicked up several dozen notches.

It is very, very difficult as a muslim to secure a rental lease and employment in a reputable company —while there is no formal rule against it the polite discrimination that they grapple with is really, really formidable.

This mentality solidified as a result of the Aum Shinrikyo subway nerve gas attack, long ago.

“Alternative religion = scary and dangerous”

This is the unspoken Japanese view, and that goes double or triple in the case of Islam.

As a Muslim you could deliver a high-level, 2-hour speech about some aspect of culture and the first question you’d get from the audience might be an utterly honest question, like:

“Have you ever known a person who later blew themselves up…?”

It would be almost impossible to escape that perception, and it would be everywhere that you encountered people who could stand you for more than 5 minutes.

This is horrifying. I’ve been on a few business trips to Japan and the people there are extremely gentle and polite. Japan is also a country that has no interest in immigration, even though their birthrate is so low that their nation will basically be gone by the end of this century.

Wow, I wonder how that kind of bad attitude developed...

There’s a time machine in the 7th century, in that big, black rock in Mecca, shooting these savages into the future as fast as it can. It is powered by camel dung.

What’s the Arabic equivalent of “this is why you can’t have nice things”?

A guy went nuts and damaged a famous Buddhist shrine on a street corner in Bangkok a few years ago. He was killed by a crowd on the spot.

Wow, I wonder how that kind of bad attitude developed...

Part of it is a natural unspoken Japanese xenophobia, but there are other aggravating factors: when Iran's economy was very bad and Japan's was still going gangbusters a LOT of young, bearded Iranian men came to do menial work as illegal aliens, and it got to be quite a problem.

They would congregate outside major urban rail stations to exchange job info and deal fake phone cards and dope, and to stare at people. Japanese people do not do this, but often put up with it from others.

And they had beards and were staring and sometimes they were in these huge, weird groups, causing trouble.

Iran is not Arab, but I really think Japanese do equate those two groups, and so the view hardened against them as weird-looking, dirty law-breakers who had no manners or technical skills.

Very, very few of them remained and the word is that the Yakuza played some role in the very successful program to make them go away, which they did.

The documentation regarding the techniques of their relocation away from Japan is EXTREMELY sparse, but would be interesting.

Why does this surprise anyone? Where ever these nutjobs see anything cultural, they want to destroy it. I mean, if hte Muslim Brotherhood was seriously debating blowing up the Pyramids, there are no bounds to their bloody-minded desire to destroy everything.

Put him in jail and produce three new statues. When they’re 300 years old, let him go.

Well, looks like his PHD will be earned in a Japanese high security prison.
Those Japanese don't screw around!

No due process?
Wait.

That is the original and most sincere and just form of due process!

I hope the Japanese don't succumb to mindless political correctness!

Silly Muslims stick sharp stick in eye of sleeping tiger.

Given the trouble the Muslim world’s lack of success in producing weapon grade fissionable material, it is interesting to note the Japanese have Plutonium by the ton.

One more thing - Muslims who assume they are immune to Japanese anger might study what happened at Nanking.

Plutonium can cure that.

Drop him off at unit 3, Fukushima Daichi. The radiation
level is 26 Sieverts per hour. He’ll be toast in 5 minutes.
