LinkedIn not happy with its own workforce diversity numbers

LinkedIn’s own workforce is still too heavily white and male and needs to become more diverse, the company admitted Thursday.

LinkedIn said 61 percent of its employees 5,400 employees worldwide are men and 39 percent are women.

Of its employees based in the U.S., 53 percent are white, 38 percent are Asian, 4 percent Hispanic and 2 percent black.

the Mountain View company is already taking, such as working with groups like the Anita Berg Institute, which focuses on women in computing, and the Out and Equal Workplace Advocates, which is committed to ending discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees.

So if you are a gay white male you get a pass on this whole diversity thing.

We all live for the day when white people are not allowed to have jobs or own property. The world will then be a truly just place.

At only 53%, aren’t they discriminating against whites? Why do they say they’re “too heavily white”?? [/ liberal idiot mode]

No, what these libtard peons really mean is “more non-white people so my liberal white guilt will be appeased even though I prefer whites to be the bosses”..

I caught that statistic too and questioned why 53% white was ‘too high’. It seems to me that the Asian % was too high.

Of course, everyone really understands what is going on here. Linked-In is heavy on people with technical skills, medical, etc. Asians and whites do dominate in these fields. The fact that these groups actually study these subjects at University level does not occur to these people??????

It is funny in a way, but in another way it isn’t. White guys are still expected to pay most of the taxes. How are they going to do that without jobs or property?

Here’s a novel concept....reward excellence and let the diversity meme fall where it may.

If you make diversity your prime objective, you will never achieve excellence.

Pursuit of diversity looks a lot like pandering, and more will never be enough.

White privilege is the real problem. Once we have eradicated white privilege, everybody else in the world will be rich and smart. Not like they are now.

Why don’t we whites just paint our faces black and wear our jeans around our knees. All in the name of diversity.

Are they talking about the people who run it or the people who’ve joined that networking site? I’m on Linkedin to try to find a job in aviation as a flight crew member.

Pizzonem. This kind of social engineering justifies my decision to refuse the truck load of LinkedIn invites I receive on a daily basis...

If my contacts need me, an email, or phone call works just fine.

Sounds like they’re actually employing too few white and way too many Asian to me, if you’re going to start bean counting. You know, look like America and all that.

I often get invitations to join LinkedIn.

Lately, some other site has been asking me to join. It is apparently a similar site, but meant for MDs. I don’t know why I get those invitations, since I’m a doctor, but not an MD.

I just don’t get this social media stuff.

LinkedIn is where the headhunters, recruiters and HR people looking for professional hires actually are now. It’s a site where you post your curriculum vitae and connect with people you know professionally, as well as people you want to know professionally. If there’s any likelihood of your looking for another position anytime soon, it’s a very good idea to get yourself set up on there and to start building your professional network. Basic account is free.

As we all know from our liberal indoctrination, the only POSSIBLE way any company, industry, etc., can have a distribution different from the population at large is intentional discrimination motivated by racism, which should cause the business guys to be shot. So it’s obvious that LinkedIn management hates white people. In fact, it appears they’re prejudiced against everyone except Asians. There can be no other explanation, unless the over-represented group is one of the favored. That’s perfectly normal.

Oh come on! Don't you know that big-minded liberals who know everything believe "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines."
