House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi spoke about the wave of violence hitting Iraq from Islamic militants, asserting that the United States does not have a responsibility to assist the country with military action.

“I don’t think this is our responsibility, but I do think we were irresponsible for going into Iraq for a variety of other reasons,” she told reporters on Capitol Hill on Thursday.

Pelosi called the violence “troubling” but asserted that there was no American appetite for further military action in the country

More craziness from XSpeaker. Minimal action taken from the very beginning would have spared all of this from cascading.

Nancy, you’re in no position to assert America’s responsibilities.

Nothing in the Constitution supports your anti-American agenda.

Do think it IS our responsibility? You want America to invade again? And stay there forever?

How much will that cost, and where will the money come from?

Paint these asses as pro-terror and pro-Saddam. Rinse and repeat.

We’re learning what a second term of Carter would have been like in the 80s - a strengthening power in Moscow and mass chaos in the middle east.

Actually Nancy, Iraq is your responsibility and Harry Reid’s and President Obama’s as too.

You three took a won war that was winding down and made such a mess of things you have reversed all of our gains and actually made the situation worse than it was in the beginning.

If there were WMDs in Iraq, they could not have worse damage to the rest of the world than you three have done.

When Saddam was in power, Iraq’s Islamists were suppressed (brutally), and Iraq was a foe of Iran. After we toppled Saddam, the Islamists were free to burn and pillage - more so than ever now, but they’ve been doing so for a decade. A Iraq became an ally of Iran.

Boy, it sure was smart to spent trillions of dollars (that we don’t have) and thousands of lives, to topple Saddam.

I call BS. The Iraq war was never “won”. And Iraq has been Iran’s biggest ally, ever since we toppled Saddam. The burka came back and other elements of sharia after Saddam was ousted.

Do you want the US to go back to Iraq?

Where will the money come from ? That’s a question the pro-war conservatives never ask, when it comes to war. Just like liberals never ask that question when it comes to their domestic spending programs.

We were played like a fiddle.

The only I’d go back in and spend one more drop of blood or trillions more in American treasure we don’t have, is if we seized the country and all of it’s oil etc. We own it. Give the Iraqis just enough to survive, that’s it.

Otherwise, no way, they can fight their own GD internal battles.

Islam has been continuously at war with the rest of the world for 1400 years.

There is no way to win a war with a people who’s basic religious tenets is to instruct it’s believers to fight jihad against all who do not convert to Islam.

The best you can hope for is to contain them and keep them from attacking others, including ourselves.

Think of the Cold War not against atheistic communism but against radical Jihad.

In that we were successful after 10 years of world wide conflict

Bush got us into Iraq based on a lie so we don’t have to do anything now is the ‘rats’ line, as per the likes of the-out-of-this-world Dennis Kulcinich or however it’s spelled on Fox tonight - like Truman got us into Korea, so why should Eisenhower have done anything.....

So how many more military lives do we want flushed down the toilet in a useless endeavor? 4,500 killed and more than 32,000 wounded not enough to satisfy us? I know it’s not nearly enough to satisfy that courageous, armchair-Rambo Hannity.
