Charlie Crist has been endorsed by Floridas largest gay rights group in his run for Governor....
Equality Florida officials made the announcement at a visitors center for gays and lesbians in Miami Beach, citing Crists current support for same-sex marriage and ongoing legal efforts to overturn the states ban on the unions.

We are fasting one meal a week and praying for the perversion of God's definition to be upheld. Feel free to join us.
I’m sure they love Crist. He is so tan!
Gays for a gay.....makes sense.
Defeat the Orange Menace !
Birds of a feather . . .
“Floridas Largest Gay Rights Group Endorses Crist”
I assumed they already had! Who’dathunkit that it would have taken them this long? With that said, why is this even news at all?
With the medical marijuana initiative tracking overwhelmingly in favor, I fear we’re going to be saddled with Crist again as the dope-smoking hippie masses are going to swarm the polls to get their legal green.
Idiots don’t realize that it’s only medical to begin with. Florida’s going to go the way of Colorado, I fear. I hear Texas is nice.
I’m with you.
Florida’s done. Tourism is already hitting up the pols for outright legalization. I’ve seen lobbying material from the Florida tourism industry projecting $400m in increased tax revenue if Florida went Colorado. Then they thrown in the savings from current enforcement efforts, and net out over a half billion dollars annually in their projections.
The only thing fascinating about the whole episode is Sheldon Adelson’s massive donation to stop legalization. Unexpected.
Oh gee! What a surprise! /s
Crist was against gay marriage before he was for it.
Liberals hate Rick Scott. My sister and her family live in FL. They hate him.
I guess with Gays wishy washy lying hypocrites is a non issue. Just another single issue voting block for the Rats.
Thanks, Linda. I am praying on Wednesday morning, skipping breakfast and praying for the trial.
Nice to know there are some FREEPers who believe in the efficacy of prayer.
See post 10. Thanks.
I mean post 16.
Crist went to work for mega trial lawyer Morgan.
Morgan spent Millions to put legalized Pot on the ballot.
I concluded Morgan was attempting to put something on the ballot that would appeal to Libs/Dems/Crist voters.
The Legal Pot initiative was a clever cynical ploy to get Dumbass Dope Heads to the poles (on an off year) to vote Crist.
It means Florida will be in the hands of the infamous ambulance chaser “Morgan.”
So sad, Scott is a really good conservative guy, but he has ZERO superficial “like-ability.”
My wife is the farthest thing from a political junkie you’d find, and she likes Scott. She says he comes across as honest and likeable.
I like the guy. I shook his hand once at a fundraiser, and he seemed to genuinely care.
And..., in further breaking news..., DOG BITES MAN! Any Floridians (particularly in the Tampa Bay Area)... if they pay attention to politics..., are well aware that Crist IS WHAT HE IS and always has been. Though he did enter a "Marriage of Convenience" as cover when he ran (unsuccessfully) for the Senate a few years ago!
A worthless political chameleon.....
Why aren’t they disparaging him for not coming out, and hiding behind his beard?
That’ve co-opted a perfectly normal word meaning happy. It won’t turn around for any other meaning for the rest of this century at least.
It is a negatve in my book. ‘That is so gay’ etc
I voted for Scott in the last election. I hate him now too for signing the bill to give in-state tuition to illegals. I won’t be voting for him again.
It's him or Crist. I'm glad I dont have to make the choice you have to make.
I know. I won’t be voting for either of them. I understand the consequences of my vote not going to Scott, and I understand that there is no “perfect” conservative candidate. Some things are forgivable, but catering to illegals is not one of them for me. In the meantime, a friend in Michigan has a daughter who wants to go to college here, but since they’re only legal citizens they’d have to pay more. GOP needs to get their stuff together.
I voted for McCain and afterward I said I wasn’t voting for a RINO again. I voted for Romney (with considerable nose holding) then said I wasn’t voting for a RINO again. When it comes down to Election Day, For me, it seems I can’t vote for the democrat enemy and can’t not vote...or vote for a third party as it feels like by doing that I am in effect voting for the Dhimmicrat.
Hopefully I won’t have to hold my nose when I vote for president in 2016 but I’m not especially confident that this vote will be any better than the past few election cycles.
Good luck with your choice in Florida.
