Chelsea: The Poorest Clinton; Mere $600K Salary Suggests Aversion to Capitalism
The Washington Free Beacon ^ | Friday, June 13, 2014 | Andrew Stiles

Today, we learned that Chelsea Clinton has been taking home an annual salary of $600,000 for her work as a “special correspondent” for NBC News.

In case you had no idea NBC News was employing the Clinton scion, here is an example of her “work”:

(Video at source.)

On the one hand, $600,000 seems like a fair salary for an only child who has to support her struggling parents. On the other, Chelsea’s annual income is equivalent to what Hillary Clinton receives for three hours of work on the public speaking circuit. It also pales in comparison to Bill Clinton’s nine-figure speaking windfall.

Excuse me, ma’am, but is this the point at which we discuss income inequality?

Who leaked this to the media, and why did they do it? Does somebody have it in for the Clintons? This isn’t exactly favorable news about the Clintons.

Yes, they would love living in a communist country. Wish they’d move to Cuba where they can spread their poverty around.

If that kind of blatant bribery were seen in any other industry other then the MSM whoredoms, indictments would have been issued.

Or, is it getting the bad news out early, ahead of the campaign?

Today, we learned that Chelsea Clinton has been taking home an annual salary of $600,000 for her work as a “special correspondent” for NBC News.

I'm sure NBC hired Chelsea for her extraordinary talent - and not because her last name was 'Clinton' and she had access to her parents. /s NBC;s earned scorn the old fashioned way - they griffted for it...

They can pay her millions for doing nothing. They can put her in leather pants. They can say she has degrees from Stanford and Oxford. But she’s still as ugly as Webb Hubbell.

It will come as no surprise to anyone on this board, but “journalists” are the biggest bunch of whiners, hypocrites and back-stabbers you’d ever want to meet.

Put yourself in their shoes: you’ve been killing yourself in the small markets for years. You finally reach the point where you’re ready to make the jump to the network, or you’re a junior reporter who’s already there. Suddenly, you hear the network has hired Ms Clinton—with absolutely no journalism experience—and at a higher salary than you’re making. So, she’s either taken your job or your airtime.

And what’s worse, she’s absolutely terrible. Can’t write, report, edit or interview, but she still gets the plum slots on Today or Nightly News. I still know a few folks at the nets and I’m told that everything has to be done for Ms Clinton..she shows up for the shoot and to intro and outdo the package on camera. So when you find out how much she’s making, you leak it to one of the media gossip sites.

Interestingly, I have not heard as much resentment about Jenna Bush who has a similar deal with the Today Show. Apparently, she doesn’t make as much money and she applies herself a bit more than Ms Clinton.

From what I’ve heard (second hand), Chelsea is pleasant enough to deal with, but there’s that Clinton sense of entitlement, and deep resentment over having to do everything for her. She will never win any popularity awards, even at NBC News.
