In 2007, President George W. Bush warned that if America withdrew prematurely from Iraq, American troops would eventually have to return: To begin withdrawing before our commanders tell us we are ready … would mean surrendering the future of Iraq to al Qaeda. It would mean that we’d be risking mass killings on a horrific scale. It would mean we’d allow the terrorists to establish a safe haven in Iraq to replace the one they lost in Afghanistan. It would mean increasing the probability that American troops would have to return at some later date to confront an enemy that is

George W. Bush was more than willing to come out of retirement to lecture conservatives on immigration. Will he speak out on Iraq and lecture Democrats on their incredible irresponsibility or will he leave the heavy lifting to Dick Cheney?

We probably should not have gone into Iraq at least until after Afghanistan President Bush is being unfairly looked at as negative because of it. I don’t think history will be good to him now for sure. It is a shame.

Most Republicans say nice things about Democrats. Go figure.

Bush was right...
Obama and the media were WRONG.

Thousands are already paying for it by having their heads separated from their bodies.

This is the fault of every single Obama voter, and anyone who bought in to the “WorldCan’tWait” Soros-financed World Communist bulls**t...

Be BLUNT about this to every lib you know. IT IS THEIR FAULT so many people are dying now. Ram it down their throats.

Agreed. Fair is fair... the other side is always ramming it down our throats!

McCain made the point a couple of times today that we still have troops in Bosnia...but Obama withdrew all troops from Iraq. Where's the logic in that?

Actually, McCain is usually correct about defense issues.

On tax and economic issues, however...not so much.

Don't waste your breath confronting a lib over this. They'll just throw it back at you claiming that Iraq would be utopia if Bush hadn't gone in there in the first place.

Yeah, like Libya and Syria...

This guy must have fallen and hurt himself, to be right on a subject.

” It would mean we’d allow the terrorists to establish a safe haven in Iraq to replace the one they lost in Afghanistan.”

Yet, Obama is allowing the terrorist haven to be re-established in Afghanistan under the Taliban.

So one haven is not being replaced by another. Two are being established. And they serve as beach heads for Caliphate expansion.

I liked W as a person but he campaigned against “nation building” and what does he do. Even now he won’t say sh!t and the survival of our Country is at stake. So disappointed but we definitely have worse now.

McCain was wrong about Libya and Syria. He should have said a lot more about pulling out of Iraq too early.

McCain is not usually correct on much of anything.

What about the incredible irresponsibility of Bush going in to Iraq in the first place knowing ahead of time that America didn't have the political will or the international support to establish a military dictatorship for ten to twenty years?

There was no reasonable exit strategy for Iraq ever in place.

We supposedly learned from Vietnam that we wouldn't go into a war unless we had an exit strategy. We had such a strategy for the first Gulf War. We didn't have one for the Iraq War and we and the Iraqis paid the horrible price.

There was nothing to be gained in Iraq. I said it then. I say it now. It was a mistake and we will be paying for it, literally and figuratively for generations to come.

Borders mean nothing to these people. Kuwait and the kingdom are next on the list. Perhaps Jordan.

Russia will be the ultimate winner because they will be the only ones with oil near Europe.
