what sort of solid state storage device is vibration sensitive? if the driver thinks the readback is wrong then it should retry the write operation mux a timeout.

GM said a driver's knee could bump the Camaro key fob and move the ignition switch out of the "run" position, causing the engine to shut off.
Wouldn't this be a gas-saving feature?

The most “POS” car I ever drove was a Chevy Cobalt.

Back in the day we took the Chevy Monza motors out and fit them in the Vega hatchbacks.
The 262 v8 fitted with a 4B carb was a hot ride. Took some trickery to get the headers on.

I had a Monza that really sucked. The clutch went out with less than 500 miles on it. Dealer asked me if I “rode the clutch”. I told him no but even if I did, it shouldn’t go out in less than 500 miles. I was a 20-something girl, so he thought he could jerk me around.
I hate car salespeople.
But I also had two Camaros (72 and 76) that I loved.

Al Queda’s alive and GM is dying.

I’ve got an `83 Chevy Custom Deluxe short bed truck with the 305 (5 liter) engine.
It’s a work truck and I’ve hauled all sorts of building materials, sheetrock, paneling, lumber, furniture, you name it, including enough bricks once that it acted like it might run on its rear tires like a Lippizaner.
I replaced the water pump myself a few years ago, oil changes and maintenance, no major repairs. It’s still running strong. Mine must be in the 5%.
Hate the UAW, love the truck.
