It is impossible to lose two years worth of emails. Federal emails are backed up daily. Mirror servers are used.

As you can see, the permanent bureaucracy of the US Government doesn’t give a sh** about the elected representatives of the USA. The are not afraid.

Katie Pavlich reports that only the e-mails that Lerner sent to outside agencies (ie WH, DoJ, etc.) were lost and all her other e-mails were not. Strangest “computer crash” I’ve ever heard of.

The only recourse is to completely destroy the hard drive to be certain the emails are gone, however, it assumes that the person (Lois in this instance) merely sent all emails to herself, as there is at least one recipient for each of Lois' emails.
Time consuming but all that is necessary is for everyone to do a search of their own email list for anything from Lois!
Subpoena email from all WH personnel to Lerner, her underlings, and anyone at the IRS.

2 years of data loss means the loss was recent (you can’t lose future data)
A hardware failure would have generated a trail documenting the failure and replacement of the hardware, and likely data restore to the failed disk. Hardware support persons or contractors will have artifacts documenting the failure, a few examples: support tickets, hardware monitoring logs, or emails.
Make them prove there was a recent failure. Make them explain why certain data could not be restored. etc.
With this administration, whatever isn’t overwhelmingly incompetent is overwhelming corrupt, and what isn’t overwhelmingly corrupt is overwhelmingly incompetent...and both in many cases in their attempts to cover up one or the other. One total disaster after another. Obamacare. Fast and Furious. IRS abuses. Iraq. Syria. Ukraine. The amount of damage that is being done is incalculable.
Just subpoena the NSA, they’ll have copies....Oh wait, they’re probably just collecting on conservatives too, silly me, what was I thinking.
Just try to tell the IRS that copies of all your receipts were on your hard drive and it crashed and you can’t recover them.
