Noted party-jumper Charlie Crist has blown a 12-point lead over Florida's incumbent Republican Gov. Rick Scott, narrowing the state's gubernatorial race to a dead heat, according to the Democratic-leaning survey firm Public Policy Polling.

“Charlie Crist blows...” is in the actual headline.
It sounds as though Charlie’s Coppertone tan might be wearing off. That would be good.
Well....I guess that Key West gay vote didn’t materialize in the numbers he expected, did it?
Good to see.
Important point too, that while we focus so much on the Senate races and Congressional elections in 2014, that many states are electing governors this year. And electing state legislatures as well. These elections are important as well.
Charlie Crist is such a fraud. I recently took a glance at his professional career and educational background. His legal career and educational background isn’t very accomplished.
He got his jobs through connections and his brother-in-law. He’s just a sleazy politician that really cannot make it in anything else.
If the people of Florida re-elect that numb-nut (just one nut...), turn out the lights and head for another, saner state.
He’s falling back so he can bounce , D’oh
Hillary’s V.P. pick.
Please let this be the same firm that did Eric Cantor’s polling.
As disgusting a maggot as Crist is, I can think of no positive reason to vote for Scott at all.
That was never a real lead anyway, just more BS but the trial lawyers will still try to get him over the finish line before it’s over.
Yup. Should stopped right there.
Like another headline from years ago: "Charlie Crist Engaged to a Woman."
“Next stop: Dancing with the Stars!”
Next stop : in the ally behind the leather bar!
I'd like to know what all their dogs are in this race for. I know one is to legalize medical pot. "For all you little People".
“Democrat leaning survey” ???
Who in the world is stupid enough to finance this clown’s campaign?
Are them dems really supporting this fake, phoney fraud of a hack of a failure?
I don’t know how many millions of democrats there are in Florida, but I’d think they could find ONE PERSON better than this jerk.
Crips, run Alex Sink again, even.
“Next stop: Dancing with the Stars!”
LOL! Now there’s some good career advice right there! That he might be able to win!
(It seems like guys mostly win that, but I don’t watch so I’m not sure.)
I hear you.
Crist is tied very closely to the Morgan & Morgan firm. Don't know if your familiar with the Laws here in Florida, but they are designed to keep lawyers employed. Generally the trial lawyers are big backers of Democrats and while Crist was always a RINO even that facade is gone now.
Scott is no prize, but keeping the Orange Menace out of the Governor’s office is still paramount.
I plan to vote against Crist.
In the fwiw dept, I don’t like gov Scott much, but I will vote for him because he understands micro and macro economics.
I definitely agree, but I am having a really hard time justifying in my mind voting for someone because they are not someone else.
Rick Scott is also just horrible.

Actually, I think this might be a case of proactive pollsters trying to cover their asses. These overblown leads that the polls continually publish right up until election are normal practice but Dave Brat made them look stupid.
“As disgusting a maggot as Crist is, I can think of no positive reason to vote for Scott at all.”
Boy is that the truth! When Scott refused to get rid of that crooked prosecutor in the Travon Martin mess, I parted company with him as a leader.
I love to hear about Republican turned Democrat Crist's "best friends." Convicted Ponzi fraudster--Scott Rothstein, Repub John McCain, Democrat Bill Richardson...all of whom endorsed him years ago.
I wouldn’t say “horrible”, but subpar, and he has made a lot of mistakes (not having some prior political experience was a problem, even if not as an elected official, but with grassroots activism).
We often have to make “nose holding” decisions. Crist is simply so horrid, that he has to be stopped. Allowing him to get back to Tallahassee to line the benches in FL with moonbats is a big reason why.
If Crist doesn't blow this one he will just blow the next one.
Chickenp**per in Colorado seems in trouble.
He started walking back his signing gun control in TV ads.
Scott has been running good commercials. Nothing is coincidental with Democrats so this is the year that medicinal marijuna is on the ballot in an inititive funded greatly by good friend of Charlies, Morgan of a major law firm that Charlie has been a part of last few years. But Scott has done his job an brought jobs to Florida. IT won’t surprise me if Crist wins, becuase the media does not like Scott, but i am hopeful that Scott gets four more years
I will vote and it wont be for crist
I think he is doing a great job, especially with his jobs and training agenda. There is now a surplus in the State treasury, a fact which aggravates the progressive mind set. Speeches are made each day in the well, urging the Governor to spend the surplus on some cockamamie liberal "need". They went nuts when he and the legislators rolled back Charlie Chris' hike on auto registration fees, and the 15% annual increase in school tuition.
Like the ad says, "Charlie Chris, good politician, lousy Governor".
Scott is also planning great things for the cruise ship facilities in Cocoa and titusville.
Typical of other good Republicans, Scott is a good manager first. Something about which Charlie Chris would know nothing.
No Scott fan here, but he’s done a number of good things. He’s been much more fiscally responsible than either of his predecessors. He cleaned up the mess left during the recession with an economy that was really in a bad place and he’s done a number of things to make it more business friendly. The results are there to see. I also dislike a number of things that he’s done and don’t have a particularly high regard for him, however, he’s by far the best option.
I remember Gov. Charlie Christ loving Obama when he came down to announce the Florida High Speed Rail in January 2010. Here was the $2Billion to build from Tampa to Orlando with plans to extend to the east coast and then to Miami. When Rick Scott became Governor, he cancelled the whole thing and had to fight to keep it dead.
The proponents still say it would be built by now, and be self-supporting. The experience with California would appear to argue otherwise!
Now the RINOs will say it was Rick Scott’s support for in-state tuition for illegals that narrowed the gap. Lovely
The government is relying on us to have to make those decisions.
This is why noting ever changes other than to get worse.
This is why I have reached a point where if a person has done nothing to earn or deserve my vote, they won’t get it.
Being not as bad as the other guy no longer merits consideration to me.
They are both bad.
And FL is already full of moonbats.
It’s time to learn or crash into the wall. Really, I’ve had it.
I know what you mean.
After all these dems have allowed obammy to do to destroy the America we have known they all deserve to be hung much less re-elected.
Most will put a smackdown where it deserves and that would be on all dems this electon/.
Crist sounds like a reason to vote for Scott. An abstention is a vote for Crist.
