Spending a leisurely weekend in Palm Springs is obviously more important than trying to stop the takeover of Iraq by terrorists...

Why would anyone desecrate their fine institution by bringing in this traitor for any purpose whatsoever?

All part of Barry's "pay to play" style "government."

He has to mull over those options regarding Iraq. Has to be in Palm Springs to do so.

I agree.

I currently have mixed thoughts on Iraq. We provided a peaceful way for the Iraqis to get along together. We trained their troops. We handed off to them.

The people who proudly held up their purple thumbs, evidently weren’t proud enough to prepare to fight off anyone who would deny them the right to a free nation.

So why exactly should we go in again?

I believe Iraq is more important than we realize. A peaceful Iraq that gets along with the West is important. Allowing a terrorist nation to arise there, would be a very bad outcome.

Some choices need to be made, and I don’t think this president cares about the safety of the Western World.

He sees an Islamic centric world to be preferable.

The citizen that voted this guy in, will be recorded in history as some of the most ignorant people in the history of human civilization.

We have gifted forward China, aided Islamic terrorists, while destroying our own military and even civilian infrastructure.

This is the decline of the United States.

It was another Dem president. Jimmy Carter that lost us Iran, when he didn’t support the pro-West Shah, who was our good friend, didn’t allow the terrorists to gain a foothold and was trying to bring Iran into the 20th century.

After Bush, we had another chance at stabilizing the Middle East by stabilizing Iraq, and Obama destroyed it.

With the Islamic terrorists ruling in Iran and Iraq, it’s only a matter of time, and not much time, before the other ME countries will fall and become solid footholds for the Islamic terrorists also, from where they can blackmail the world with oil, not to mention attacks that will make the 9-11 terrorist attack look like a small practice run.

I also truly feel sorry for Israel.

Many years ago, when Orange County, California was a conservative bastion, as it is no more, the Obamanation likely would not have spoken there.

Excellent thoughts. Obama is an anti-colonialist and Islamic sympathizer, and for him the unravelling of Iraq and return to tribal rule is the undoing of the coalition government formed by Bush and other “white” western powers. In his mind, we probably deserve whatever retribution comes out of it.

This was all laid out in Dinesh D’Souza’s film “2016”.

BHO probably sees the post-Gulf War Iraq as the white man’s colonial oppression of native tribal rights to self-government, so he’s thrilled to see it all fall apart and descend into chaos under the Islamic flag. That’s probably why he stopped by an Indian reservation while he celebrates the fall of Iraq, as a tip of the hat to natives over colonialists.

PS — it’s been my thought for a while that tribalism is the opposite of civilization, and Obama is a tribalist, as are all Black Nationalists and Pan-Africanists. The chaos we see in third world countries is the result of tribalism over civilization, and that’s just how they like it. They have no use for the values and principles of western civilization. American street gangs are tribal as well, which is why this administration chooses to ignore their crimes and gives them a pass.

Yes, I agree.  The Shah had modernized Iran to a large extent.  Women's rights were respected.  It was pro-Western and enlightened.  We had really good people coming to the U. S. from Iran back in the 60s and 70s.  Then, as you said, Carter withdrew support from the Shah.  Then in came the Ayatola, and it went down hill from there.

What Carter sought to do, was only support governments that respected human rights.  Of course Carter made the mistake of thinking all nations should work exactly like ours does.  That simply doesn't work when you have a terrorist element seeking to do serious harm to the government, and to civilians indescriminantly.  The Shah had to deal with the Islamic Terrorist element just like we do.  In a nation not as advanced as our own, it was hard to deal with terrorists as we do.  The Shah did crack some heads.  By the standards of other nations in the region, he was probably one of the least objectionable.  None the less, Carter denied the Shah.  Carter, a supposed 'good Christian' even denied the Shah right of entry when he needed chemo treatment.  That's the message Carter sent to the world.  "Our allies could not be confident to even get medical attention in the future."  At the hands of the United States, allies would be abandoned, and essentially destroyed.

After Bush, we had another chance at stabilizing the Middle East by stabilizing Iraq, and Obama destroyed it.

Essentially, I agree.  I do think Iraq was problematic.  The leadership there didn't want any troups to remain, at one point.  I think Obama could have persuaded them to rethink that.  Instead he pulled all our troops out.  And so the lessons of the Left Wing Pacifists must be relearned.  What Obama ushered in, will be far worse than what was there.  Now we're seeing object lesson of what an Islamic sympathizer within the White House will garner us.  What scares the heck out of me, is that in another twenty years the American voter will have forgotten the lessons of Obama, just like they forgot the lessons of Carter.

Sadly, I lean in this direction myself.  With us arming evil entities in Libya, Egypt, Syria... it's just inevitable we'll be dealing with extreme negatives sooner rather than later.

I also truly feel sorry for Israel.

Normally I would too, but God looks out for Israel.  It may take some hits, but I believe it will remain a strong nation capable of self-defense.

I agree with your thoughts. And if you think about it, to expand on your thoughts, look at the nativist movement within international circles, so much so that tribes now make big flashy presentations during the opening of the Olympics.

The internationalists want to see the West pulverized, to become nothing of significance.

Then the Hitlers, the Stalins, the Putins, the Maos, the Pol Pots and the like can operate in a vacuum, doing just as they please, while the U. N. gives them seats on the humanitarian committees and the like.

The U. N. is the most evil agency this world has ever seen. I even list them above the past terrible dictators, because knowing what it should by now, the U. N. seeks to usher in more of them.

Look at it’s inability to even face up to the problem of a nuclear Iran.

The U. N. is just pure evil. Nothing good comes from it. NOTHING!
