The upshot is that even if you yourself are revolted by violence, or simply not inclined to it, you must still be profiled and categorized as politically violent, because you seem to share certain sympathies or cultural features with those who are violent.

Gentlemen in the Pentagon, just remember your Oath, and then look for which side more closely matches the quest for protecting the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. It will be easy to decide which side to take.
