Lindsey Graham: It May Be Time to Work with Iran Against ISIS
News Max ^ | June 15 2014 | News Max

Posted on 06/15/2014 10:18:58 AM PDT by PoloSec

A Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee says Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki cannot keep his country together, and a U.S. alliance with Iran might be needed to do so.

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday a U.S. partnership with longtime foe Iran makes him uncomfortable but likened it to the United States working with Josef Stalin in World War II against Adolf Hitler. He says the United States has to do what it can to keep Baghdad from falling to insurgents.

"We should have discussions with Iran to make sure they don't use this as an opportunity to seize control of parts of Iraq," Graham said. "They're in this. They're already on the ground. We need to put a red line with Iran."

Asked how, Graham replied, "You just sit down and talk with them."

Because that has worked so well in the past.

What a fools paradise.

You want to work with the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism? That will only result in the expansion of Iran’s Shi’ite caliphate.

We need Iran to get back the weapons we gave to ISIS, both when they did their rebel thing in Syria and when they took them from soldiers we armed in Iraq.

Head is spinning

Make up your mind Graham - the ISIS terrorists are your BEST FRIEND in Syria and now you want to fight these same people in Iraq?

No wonder people think we can figure out a foreign policy.

I guess we’re almost done pulling all the contractors out.

I’m sure Iran will get involved in a big way.

I don’t understand what conversation there would be between Iran and the USA, how are we relevant?

Maybe Obama will get bribed by the Saudis to do something they want, again...

The publicity hound Linda can’t make up his mind. First he supports arming the ISIS and their allies in Syria against Iran’s ally Assad; now he wants America to ally with Iran. What a media-protected lightweight, bubble-headed butterfly he is.

I have been reading alot about the Rise of Communism in Eastern Europe, The United States Practically GAVE them everything WEST OF THE VISTULA RIVER~!!!!

And FDR seemed just fine with it.

This is literally like working with the Soviets to defeat the Nazi's.

And THIS will be the outcome of working with Iran.

Or if you will, an Islamic Caliphate in the place of the Soviet Bloc analogy.

No, the RINO IS worse. Always. Because this asinine idea is what they do before lots of innocent people die.

You completely misunderstand the situation and are actually making it worse.

Conservatives lack the political power to control all of the Republican party. Although the Republican effort thrashed out in the House is not uniformly in conformance with the extremes of conservative thought it is the best that is currently available.

The only productive course is to keep on keeping on promoting but not directly harming the conservative cause. Your proposal is directly harmful.

Biden was actually right. It’s a phony country. It’s three (@ least) separate nations. They were brutally kept together by Saddam, but we know what happened. The Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds are not going into a melting pot and coming out Iraqis. We need to face reality and leave them alone.

What actually happened in Syria was the US was originally covertly supporting all rebels in the country. Then they got caught supporting an Al Qeada rebel group. Hillary even had to state publicly we had no idea they were terrorists". Then the Military Industrial Complexes Dancing Boys, McCain and Lindsey, supported the other rebel groups in Syria, but not the real bad Al Qeada ones who later turned into ISIS. That did not stop the GCC (House of Saud) from supporting ISIS with military gear. Then ISIS got out of control and attacked the other rebel groups in Syria. That happened within the last year. So ISIS is now the Dancing Boys and Hillary the Greats out of control Al Qeada Army.

Yeah, let’s help Iran make Iraq into a client state and enable the Shi’a to be more powerful in the region. The Saudis will really love that.

Al-qaeda used to be an organization that was scattered and had a number of training camps in scattered, remote locations.

Now, thanks to Obama, Hillary and their allies such as Little Lindsey Graham and Juan McCain, Al-qaeda has become much more than simply an organization of people. With the arms and funds that Obama and Hillary have given to them, ISIS has made Eastern & Northern Syria and the northern third of Iraq into also being a vast PHYSICAL, GEOGRAPHIC AL-QAEDA in a NON-REMOTE, STRATEGICALLY LOCATED area of the Middle East.

It is impossible to overstate the danger and harm this is creating for the national security of Western nations. Obama is achieving his dream of achieving a vast weakening of America and the progressive ruling establishment of our country is essentially cheering him on.

Biden was actually right. It’s a phony country. It’s three (@ least) separate nations.

So Joe, what will be the borders of these three countries? Who decides who gets the oil revenue? How do you create a viable Sunni state? And Turkey, our NATO ally, has said it will never accept an independent Kurdistan. So what so we do with the Kurds, Joe? I mean the Kurds who are also in Iran and Syria on the border?

Joe Biden is one of the dumbest people on the planet. He knows nothing about foreign affairs.

.
Those that brought down the twin towers in 2001, the Taliban, Saddam Hussein, Boko Haram, Muslim Brotherhood, our guests at Gitmo, Al-Qaeda, ISAS and our own sweet and beloved CAIR are all members of the Sunni sect.

I daresay that more than 95% of our fighting men/women killed and maimed in the fight against Islam were victims of Sunni violence, NOT Shia’s.

Careful who you brand the largest sponsor of terrorism. Take a good look at our “friends” in the Middle East.
