Lindsey Graham: It May Be Time to Work with Iran Against ISIS

A Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee says Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki cannot keep his country together, and a U.S. alliance with Iran might be needed to do so.

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday a U.S. partnership with longtime foe Iran makes him uncomfortable but likened it to the United States working with Josef Stalin in World War II against Adolf Hitler. He says the United States has to do what it can to keep Baghdad from falling to insurgents.

"We should have discussions with Iran to make sure they don't use this as an opportunity to seize control of parts of Iraq," Graham said. "They're in this. They're already on the ground. We need to put a red line with Iran."

Asked how, Graham replied, "You just sit down and talk with them."

Because that has worked so well in the past.

What a fools paradise.

A good place to start would be with ICE along our southern borders.

Why couldn’t crap like this have been said before the election last week so he could have been primaried out of office? Will the dopes that voted for him realize the mistake they made?

You want to work with the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism? That will only result in the expansion of Iran’s Shi’ite caliphate.

We need Iran to get back the weapons we gave to ISIS, both when they did their rebel thing in Syria and when they took them from soldiers we armed in Iraq.

Head is spinning

Make up your mind Graham - the ISIS terrorists are your BEST FRIEND in Syria and now you want to fight these same people in Iraq?

No wonder people think we can figure out a foreign policy.

I would if we had a strong president instead of a famous amateur golfer.

Who does he mean by Iran?

This is like reaching out accross the aisle to Democrats instead to voters of all stripes.

GOPe is the stupidest party.

One of the few times I want a Democrat to win just to get rid of the garbage that our own primaries should have. Same goes with McConnell and Cornyn.

I guess we’re almost done pulling all the contractors out.

I’m sure Iran will get involved in a big way.

I don’t understand what conversation there would be between Iran and the USA, how are we relevant?

Maybe Obama will get bribed by the Saudis to do something they want, again...

The publicity hound Linda can’t make up his mind. First he supports arming the ISIS and their allies in Syria against Iran’s ally Assad; now he wants America to ally with Iran. What a media-protected lightweight, bubble-headed butterfly he is.

History Repeats because no one remembers it >:(

I have been reading alot about the Rise of Communism in Eastern Europe, The United States Practically GAVE them everything WEST OF THE VISTULA RIVER~!!!!

And FDR seemed just fine with it.

This is literally like working with the Soviets to defeat the Nazi's.

And THIS will be the outcome of working with Iran.

Or if you will, an Islamic Caliphate in the place of the Soviet Bloc analogy.
