Skip to comments.Poll: Bill Clinton Most Admired President Over Past 25 Years
Posted on 06/15/2014 12:46:08 PM PDT by SeekAndFind
Forty-two percent of respondents picked Clinton -- whose wife could very well run for the White House in 2016 -- as the president they admired the most.
He was followed by current President Barack Obama at 18 percent, George W. Bush at 17 percent and his father, George H.W. Bush, at 16 percent.
The NBC/WSJ/Annenberg Survey was conducted June 2-8 of 1,031 registered voters.
The survey's margin of error is plus-minus 3.1 percentage points.

Nobody understood the survey question because it contained the word “IS”.
It’s surprising how many have never heard of Chinagate or the Cox report.
Last 25 years? Reagan’s too long ago? LOL!
“Most admired” by the RATagandists maybe.
Can someone remind me... What percentage of the vote did Clinton get in 1992?
The Kim Kardashian crowd got polled.
We've had nothing but terrible presidents since Reagan. All Ivy Leaguers, too.
Was must be a poll of the Communist Chinese leadership.
So 4 out of the 10 people that still watch NBC voted for Clinton?
He got 49% in 1996 to Dole’s 41. The rest went to Ross Perot. It’s no surprise that Clinton is popular, the economy and market went up and he gave centrist speeches even if they were all lies.
I suspect that the population sampled consisted only of serial philanderers, compulsive liars, the viagra advertising agencies, and a lobbyist for cigar manufacturers.
Can someone remind me... What percentage of the vote did Clinton get in 1992?............................... Errrrr? I believe it was 61% that didn’t vote for him. lets 61 from 100 = 39, so I guess it would be about 39%. So how does get 39% of the vote to win?? Easy, put in a spoiler and have no run offs. Beware, it can happen again.
I wonder why they picked a 25 year period.
Right now compared to Obama, Clinton looks real good in comparison.
He has a point. Our most popular past (and future?) presidents:
You initiated a policy to tolerate the Marxist-Alinsky radicals and let them rant; not only has it not ceased but was constantly augmented by decades of infiltration and indoctrination. You now have two Americas. In my opinion, it will not cease until a crisis shall have been reached and passed. A house divided against itself cannot stand. I believe this government cannot endure, permanently, half statist and half free; I do not expect the house to fall; but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing, or all the other.
I’ve heard of Chinagate. Bubba gave the Chinese the ability to nuke us 20 times over and we have nothing that could stop it.
NBC is full of dung..They like the democrats poll the dead..
I HATED Clinton when he was Prez.
I'd much prefer him to what we have now.
It's funny that the poll only gives us: George HW (read my lips) Bush; Clinton, George (Compassionate Conservative) Bush, and Barack (you can keep your doctor) Obama.
They may well have asked: How would you prefer to contract herpes?
Well,it all depends on what the meaning of “admired” is.
Popular vote: 43.0% / 37.5% / 18.9%
Electoral vote: 370 / 168 / 0
The interesting question is, if the little general from Plano hadn't been in the race, where would his 18.9% have landed?
Even some rabid Obama supporters used to be Reagan democrats. They still like Reagan even though their brains are now mush. Their judgement is based on shallow TV viewing and Clinton is much more likable than Obama.
Would have still went to Clinton. Clinton was more likable than GHWB to the mush-minded voters.
You REALLY have to admire someone who was getting BJ’s in the Oval Office!
How do these guys come with this nonsense?
In right after reports of Hillary’s failure ?
What do they think? We’re going to ignore the constitution wholesale?
They’ll have to disappear into the world of shut the heck up
Op rags supposed to be there, but we have to see her mugg on the wall and see her silly scribbling philosophy/theology on every venti cappuccino for who knows how long
Well, this time frame gives on only four choices. We’re choosing among George Herbert Walker Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama.
Sounds to me like a meaningless survey, meant to fill the news on a slow news day.
But it’s not a slow news day, as various world crises are in the news. But let’s talk about how we admire Bill Clinton anyway, and have that segway into talk of Hillary’s book and her book tour, and will she run for president, and all that. ..........
Fwiw I am sure the poll is accurate. America is populated by mush headed morons.
Looking at the top two picks it’s not hard to figure out who the survey was directed to.
Did these LIB goons go into a mental hospital to do their poll?
Who was polled, the DNC?
And everyone they polled was 24 and under.
ROTFL! Another poll of what low information voters think when they accidentally find themselves in a rare thoughtful mood.
Said poll was taken at Klinton’s house by a commie reporter who got “second-unts” after Klinton was finished with one of his bimbos. The bimbos were doing the voting. Klinton couldn’t carry The Gipper’s jock strap.
My personal opinion is that if it wasn’t for Perot in 1992, America wouldn’t be in the mess it is today.
I left the USAF because he was elected :p (didn’t imagine something worse could come along:[ He WAS better than Jimma, though)..
I really think Clinton wasn’t all that much different than the Bushes.
Reagan left office more than the 25 years ago. Amazing, isn’t it?
Does that Bag Dad have my food stamps?
guess they didn’t want to try the last 50 years
JFK would have the sympathy vote, but Reagan would win the last 50 yrs
the 80s, when America was allowed to be great
Its quite stunning that Clinton never got the least bit of blame for the tech bubble crash that occurred in 2000, roughly the same time in his 2nd term as Bush, who got 100% of the blame for the 2008 crash.
Yup. And we haven’t had one president in my humble opinion worth the job since.
Could be, though Bush I had his good qualities.
I was still in my 20s back then.. didn’t understand (or pay too much attention to) politics.. But, I DID know that Clinton was against the defense of USA (and military). I also knew that Sr. had military experience (and cia.. and we worked a lot with them back then (not me.. I’ve never met one, that I know of)..), and Bubba evaded the draft >.<
Just one of the reasons Ron Brown's plane crash coincidentally happened at a fortuitous time for bubba and hillary.
