Who are the idiots who write the headlines these days? This one could be interpreted to mean that the Florida man decided to kill 3 people who were scheduled to be executed. Trying to save the state money for their lethal injections, perhaps.

Here’s to all the bleeding hearts who wonder why some people are in favor of capital punishment. Two dead people because this guy wasn’t executed the first time.

Lots and lots of taxpayer dollars, and we all begrudged every single penny.
In this case, he was clearly guilty of the crimes, and there was no chance of later exculpatory evidence becoming known, or prosecutorial wrongdoing involved.

OTOH,and most importantly, we would much rather pay the high price for the decades that these vicious criminals are confined in prison before execution, than have a society where the ropes and torches come out at night by mobs of masked and unknown individuals who decide they are the instruments of justice..

It's a hard choice.
Given the state of our legal system, it's one I can live with.

At least he was convicted of his crimes, and taken out of society.

Another point is that you are taught in middle school that numbers 10 or less are spelled out, while numbers larger can be printed numerically

Thanks, that's one I did not remember. I do remember being told to be consistent, if you spell out one number in a paragraph, spell all numbers used. Don't write something 2 times and read it three times.

Here in California, there are some men on Death Row who have been there for 35 years, and are no closer to an execution date than when they first arrived. I would be surprised if any of them are executed in the next decade.
