As Iraqs government bolstered Baghdad's defenses Sunday, the Islamic militant group that captured two major cities last week posted graphic photos that appeared to show its fighters massacring dozens of captured Iraqi soldiers.
Martin Frank, the CEO of IQ Networks, an Internet service provider in Iraq, told The Associated Press that authorities have ordered multiple social media sites including YouTube, Facebook and Twitter to be blocked. On Sunday, they tightened the restrictions further by telling network operators to halt traffic for virtual private networks, which allow users to bypass Internet filters.

The pictures and video is horrifying. Why do groups of soldiers just lie down and let themselves be murdered? If you know they will kill you, why not fight back?
Worst case, you’re still dead.
There is no maybe about it.... they lined people up in front of a ditch and shot them....looks like NAZI Germany in the 30s to me
They would rather be shot in the head than to be slowly decapitated by a knife to the throat.
The only person standing between Obama and his well-deserved Impeachment is crybaby Speaker of the House, John Boehner, PERIOD.
Hey Barry lad, come have a look at these pictures. This is “how wars end in the 21st century.”
Everyone should look at the videos posted by ISIS. The murder surrendered soldiers, random people driving their cars and decapitate a few people in their houses. They do this great resolve and glee. Everyone needs to look at these videos to understand what we should be fighting. They would love to do this to you and your children. Many are already here in the US.
Don’t interrupt Barry’s golf game!
For the most part, these are not trained soldiers. Now we understand why Sadam used WMDs.
How thoughtless of me. Obama is likely at the 19th hole enjoying a nice beer after an arduous day, interrupted already by a briefing from Susan Rice. Can’t we just let the poor guy alone?
is everyone aware that Fox News has completely dropped the ball in this crucial news weekend ? Programming about the O.J. Simpson trial anniversary and about the George H.W. Bush ? Are you kidding me ? What’s going on ? unbelievable
golf club up the ass
This is all intended to strike terror in the hearts of their opponents — but it may just backfire and embolden them.
where are the links?
Remember the Khomeinist (current Iranian regime) in Iran did EXACTLY same thing (mass executions & terrorizing in public) to anyone including their own Shia compatriots (many former military personnel) as they began to take control & embed their militant Islamic (shiite) ideology & regime. It was meant to spread terror & fear in Iran hence ensure obedience. Only difference was that in 1978-79 there was no internet, social media, etc.
Fact is we know the killings are going on. No need to give these murderers a platform to proudly broadcast the horrors they inflict on others around the world.
The other message they are sending is: look at us, we do these atrocities because we can.. So those (gov'ts) who can stop them should take action!
Well thats the truth of it now isn’t it?
Obama did nothing and the GOP watched his lose Iraq without a freaking peep. I hope people get a look at how effective electing all those lesser evils is. Because their supporters own this. all of it. All the lives wasted. All the people maimed. And trillions of dollars, our privacy and a host of other things flushed down the toilet because people couldn’t put principled people in office.
you know. the evil purist types that may have actually had this ‘president’ declared mentally unfit.
Oh, but I have friend who’s a muslim. /s
Islam is a war plan.
The GOP-e’s plan is to win by default.
