Despite low coal use, Louisiana must reduce CO2 by 40%

When the Obama administration announced its new plan to cut carbon dioxide from power plants to combat climate change, Louisiana found itself on the hook for a 40 percent reduction over the next 15 years or so — one of the bigger decreases demanded in the state-by-state goals.

The size of the proposed cut surprised many because Louisiana doesn’t rely heavily on coal, which generates more carbon dioxide than most other fuels.

Neither state regulators nor the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency can provide a clear reason for why Louisiana’s reduction is so large.

“We have more questions at this point than we have answers,” said Sam Phillips, an assistant secretary at the state Department of Environmental Quality.

Who is the governor of Louisiana? How often has he pissed Obama off by just telling the truth? Payback is a b!tch.

My idea is to resist these commands to the point where the feds shut down power plants under arms with immediately ensuing blackouts.

They should do it be deporting all illegal immigrants forcefully from the state and driving them into central America without federal approval.

Goodbye to thousands of cars and kw hours.

It’s no coincidence that this ridiculous clown issued this nonsense as coal jobs began to increase again. One can only hope a Republican administration comes in, cleans house at the EPA, and does away with these stupid regulations.

Obama’s and Jarrett’s paybacks will lead to some consequences for them. What goes around comes around. Never mess with people who wrestle gators for fun.

Tell them to go to hell, and post state militia at the gates of each power plant with orders to shoot any EPA inspectors.

Don’t know exactly how it would work, but it is past time for state nullification of a wide swath of Federal regulations. The states need to redress the balance of power with Fedzilla and Departments like EPA must be stopped or the US will become a dictatorship with King Obama dispensing life and death.

The answer is to return to the Framers’ design, a senate of the states.
