"When officers pulled Short over it was for a routine traffic stop. Since he's on supervised release for previous meth sales they searched his car.
"When the officers searched the car they located four ounces of methamphetamine in the car, which is a lot of methamphetamine, so that's consistent with somebody who's selling," said Fresno police Lt. Joe Gomez.
After searching his apartment, they found a half pound of meth, heroin and materials for a meth lab.
"Just shocking someone that age would do that, but actually a perfect place to do it, right? Retirement village, who would suspect it going on there?" said Gomez."

Well, as the Lieutenant says, "Just shocking."
Meth is a one way ticket in the express lane to hell.
No lab quality control either.
I’ve talked to a dentist who has worked with people who used meth. It’s dreadful what happens to the teeth. And then, there’s the rest of the body.
It's due to your mouth not having enough moisture most of the time. With some, usually pain killers, you can tell you have a dry mouth with others, it's not obvious but still takes a toll. I don't know where there's an exhaustive list anywhere but I've heard several treatments for chronic things like arthritis and antidepressants have the same effect without it being obvious until your teeth suddenly start to have problems when you never had problems before.
When they aren’t chokin’ down Viagra, they’re doing meth. Nice. I guess they got tired of shuffleboard and bingo.
I guess it's not your grandfather's retirement community anymore. Of course, this could be an Obama caregiver who is providing stimulants or sedatives to the elderly without making them wait for their pharmacists to fill the order.
You can’t live on just social security, you know!
Yes it is.
Yeah, it beats collecting aluminum cans and plastic bottles.
He is 64 for those wondering.
My Dentist Office Manager was reading a trade Journal about Meth and why it destroys teeth. In simple terms, Meth turns off the signal to your brain to produce saliva. Even though Saliva is unpleasant, it is the real, natural and only protector of your teeth.
“Just shocking someone that age would do that”
A grown ass adult from the hippy dippy baby boom era? Not so surprising, really.
