I am on schedule to retire in about a year and half. But, Mr. Beachy, being slightly younger, will have to continue to work. We have been discussing where we would like to move once my parents are gone (maybe sooner as they seem too healthy to go anywhere LOL). DE is one of the choices, so we like to go searching for a potential. My family lived there for several years when I was a child, so I know some of the areas.

We got over 2” with that storm last Thursday. We had a funnel cloud go over our area that evening. There are several roofs ripped off the houses, and some of the debris in my neighbor’s yard is not growing in our immediate area.

My 1st assignment after jet engine mechanic school...1983-1988.

Neat base to be at because of proximity to all of the big metro areas and beaches...as a young single guy, Rehoboth and Ocean City in the summer were the places to be.

Nothing quite like a Bull on the Beach open pit roasted beef sandwich on a kaiser roll with onions and mayo, Boardwalk fries with vinegar and a cold beer...

Blue Hen Mall...ha, I guess if one wanted to see what early versions of malls looked like, that was a nostalgic trip.

Dover Downs...good times in the infield.

The State Troopers could be some real aholes...

Saw a lot of the NE USA while I was there...I’ve gone to Google maps and see that my old dorm is gone, one of the engine shop bldgs is gone, but aside from street changes, looks pretty much the same.

We got some rain late evening and little more over night.

Thanks. I thought the garage door was going to bend in half. We got some water in the garage, since my 4” pipe was not draining the water out fast enough.

My gutters were running over. I went on the roof to clean the downspouts on Monday, and there was nothing in the gutters. Just too much water too fast.
