U.S. Doesn’t Know Who to Hit in Iraq
Daily Beast ^ | 06/17/2014 | Eli Lake and Kimberly Dozier

The U.S. military has the capability to conduct air strikes over Iraq within hours. The problem is they don’t know exactly who they are supposed to be targeting.

President Obama is repositioning military assets closer to Iraq, in case he wants to strike at the terrorists that are threatening to tear the country apart. The problem is, the U.S. doesn’t know who it’s supposed to hit.

Current and retired American defense and intelligence officials tell The Daily Beast that the CIA and the Pentagon are not certain who exactly makes up the forces that have taken so much of Iraq. Moreover, these intelligence and defense officials says that they believe that some of the people fighting with Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) are former U.S. allies who could be turned against the hard-core fanatics—if they can be identified.

“We don’t have boots on ground providing intelligence and we don’t have confidence in information that the Iraqi government provides, because they’ve [been] so heavy-handed in the use of force against Sunni villages,” said Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., a senior member of the House Intelligence Committee.

In other words, the American intelligence community is only now scrambling to draw up a potential target list in Iraq, and possibly Syria—even though the threat of ISIS has been visibly growing for years. And while the analysts are trying to figure out who they should zero in on, Obama administration lawyers are wrestling with what legal authorities the president might have to carry out an attack.

Obama doesn’t want to hit anyone who may present a long term threat to his enemy, Americans.

Yea, civil wars are like that. The only targets we should hit are those tanks being stolen, otherwise, let them fight it out.

Obama is bonded with all sides ... against America.

Obama trained ISIS/ISIL in Jordan and armed them
with antiaircraft missiles in Libya (MANPADs)
and Egypt (SAMS) and sarin.

Obama’s controller was born in Iran and both regard
the mullahs as their natural ally against the
American people.

Well, a good place to start would be the columns of trucks moving American weapons and humvees as well as Iraqi tanks to Syria and the ISIS/Al Qaeda insurgents who are driving

Unfortunately, this administration considers them allies

I still love the delicious irony of how the aircraft carrier George Bush is the principal base of our military assets for launching these attacks.

Gosh! It’s easy!

Hit the people we secretly trained in Jordan to fight the Syrians. We know their first names.

I was being excessive, as half a joke.

I suspect about half of Iraq deserves the nuking. The other half would be unfortunate collateral damage. Therefore, I don’t actually recommend nuking Iraq.

It just tempts the devil on my left shoulder sometimes.

Carpet bomb Iraq in a crosshatch grid pattern until nothing is moving and
nothing is left standing. Then move to the east and repeat with Iran.

Any pickup truck with a machine guy mounted to it is a target. Anyone who’s face is hidden is a target.

We should have hit them when they were on the road to (enter city here). And every piece of ammo should be dipped in pork fat. Not only kill them, but don’t let them get to Allah.

I think they're slow on airstrikes because we've provided these ISIS angels Stinger missiles. We don't need to have US warplanes shot down with our own weapons. God forbid the truth about Libya gets out.

We should destroy all of the military assets we left behind though.

At the end of the day, these people are barbarians and if the locals aren't willing to step up and fight to eradicate them, why would we? That would ultimately fail when we left again.

Islam is leading us to a World War III. We're going to have to fight it sooner or later. We don't have the stomach or leadership for it now and it'll be a long time until we do.

Look for anyone carrying a black flag, driving a toyota or wearing a mask.

Personally, I’d King Herrod on them and put the sword to any male under the age of 35...

You can get a cleaner bang for your buck using a humongous fuel air bomb, same difference to the camel humpers on the ground.
