IRS tells GOP committee: We’ve lost e-mails from six more employees involved in scandal

And all of them, apparently, were lost in computer crashes. That’s novel. Normally, when an agency doesn’t want to comply with a document request, it simply lies by claiming that no such document exists.

Congress needs to start using their authority instead of playing tit for tat politics in the media.

Subpoena government bureaucrats and put them under oath in every instance. If somebody lies to you, file charges against them.

If they can't do this, the public has every right to suspect that the republicans will not reveal the democrats malfeasance because in so doing they will also reveal their own.

The outrage is that the very same agency would show the average citizen no mercy when it came to holding them to the records retention rules it set up for the little people.

Government has gotten way too big for its britches. The best way to cut it down to enumerated size is to severely cut its ability to spend money. But first we have to revoke its self-given power to create near-infinite amounts of money and debt because it no longer is restrained by how much the taxpayers can pay.

Near-infinite money enables near-infinite government.

Every day more people are coming to the judgment that a carefully organized effort to repair the constitution via the States’ power to propose and ratify amendments has less risk to our liberty and prosperity than the present trajectory of the federal government and especially the federal bureaucracy.

Pretty obvious the administration considers congress spineless....and easily bullied....

They are going to push the GOP to the wall hoping they make a mistake....

I think, (hope) Obama is making a mistake....

I think the administration is planning to use the IRS scandal to push Bengazhi off the front page when the select committee meet...

The media can handle only one obama scandal at once...so the obama adminstration is stalling on the IRS until bengazhi hits....

Good plan. I like it, particularly it’s embrace of the 10th Amendment.

Seven individual computer hard drive crashes within about a year time-frame. All seven had data that was unrecoverable even by data recovery companies. No policy changes were made to ensure data redundancy after the first hard drive crash.

This is a cover-up.

The transfer of an estimated million taxpayer and non-profit agency records is going to be electronically documented by the server and admins, if only a “hey, this person is emailing gigabytes of data” flag by the admin.
