Actually, Nixon only THOUGHT about using the IRS against his enemies. He had no luck with that. The IRS (and all other parts of the shadow government) are owned lock, stock and barrel by the Democrat party.

Nixon through his staffers asked Randolph W. Thrower to audit the returns of a list of people that he wanted to harass.
Thrower testified to investigators that the list started with antiwar leaders and civil rights figures, and later the list had grown to include journalists and members of Congress, among them every Democratic senator up for re-election in 1970.
Thrower refused.
He was fired in 1971.
Nixon more than thought about using the IRS as a weapon.
This is almost as bad as Nixon giving us the EPA OSHA and abandoning the Gold Standard.
