The White House has felicitated ten youngsters - including an Indian-origin girl - as "Champions of Change" and honoured them for their exemplary leadership in their respective communities on Tuesday.
New Delhi born Pratishtha Khanna, who reached the US illegally at the age of ten, is currently a senior at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and will graduate in May with a BS in Biology.
All the ten are also recipients of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA), a programme initiated by US President Barack Obama as an executive order to issue deferred deportation for undocumented young immigrants, through a memo signed two years ago.

I hear India needs more US-educated biologists.
To the others on the waiting list or hoping for the immigrant lottery “too bad suckers”.
Maybe they should honor tax evaders as Champions of Change.
You notice they recently honored a deserter as a soldier who served with honor and distinction.
You know, identity thefts are clearly champions of change.
Honoring illegal aliens though an illegal program instituted by a lawless president.
It won’t be long now before Barry and his ‘RATS will be “honoring” the IRS IT guys. “Bonuses” for everybody!
Following the law is for the serfs to do,not the enlighten elites, they are honoring lawbreakers, we are in very deep kimchi. Pray for guidance.
There should only be one “champion of change”. That would be the person who convinces Clown Prince nobama to resign immediately.
My wife felicitated me the other day. Wow! Pure pleasure...Best back rub I’d had in a long time. :0)
Progressive idiots are forever telling us that "education" is an investment, even in the case of illegals.
That this is not the case is obvious, but let's suspend credibility for a second for the sake of argument.
Ten out of 20,000,000+ is not a very good Return On Investment (ROI)!
If anyone is interested in gathering web versions of news stories from Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador in Spanish (both stories and links), I will try to translate them for posting on Free Republic.
I suspect they would be quite educational.
I spent some time recently trying to find English language Latin America news sites on this subject, but couldn’t find any items promoting the “norte migration”. If you put something together I’d appreciate a FRiendly ping.
