Yesterday Equality Virginia was honored to receive a proclamation from Governor Terry McAuliffe that recognizes June 2014 as lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender pride month. The proclamation noted that the Commonwealth celebrates its diverse LGBT community, is dedicated to fostering acceptance and preventing discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, and that LGBT Virginians contribute to a stronger Commonwealth. We couldn't agree more; and will continue to work towards that ideal.
The support we have received from the Governor has been invaluable. He understands that fairness and inclusion are important to Virginia's families and to the commonwealth as a whole. But to get laws like workplace nondiscrimination and second-parent adoption passed, we need to change some minds - and votes - in the less understanding House of Delegates. With the 2015 General Assembly session six months away, we are gearing up for targeted outreach and in-district visits this summer and fall.
That means a lot of driving. $25 will pay for the gas it takes to visit some of our on-the-fence Delegates who can make a lot of difference with their vote next session. Can you pitch in?

Ask God for a blessing that will overcome the curse. Believe it or not, God isn’t waiting for us to deserve a blessing. We never will deserve one. He is waiting for it to dawn on us that He is the only One that can deliver a blessing! We can’t do it in humanistic power. We can, however, request and accept blessings, turning from our sins as we receive the power to do so. We’ve all sold God short, which is sin, but when we repent from that we will be amazed at what follows.

We need heterosexual pride months, parades and holidays. Call ‘em unashamed generational events.

What’s with this pride stuff? Feculent sex is nothing to be proud of. What happened to liberals wanting to keep sex behind closed doors behind closed doors? Now, every day is homosexual pride day.
And the tragedy can be turned back into a comedy (in the classic sense) by inviting God back into the act.
It’s driven by the King of Pride, the Lucifer who tried to propel himself above God’s glory... which was a spectacular fail.
