CT high school filters conservative websites, allows liberal pages
Campus Reform ^

A high school student in Connecticut is accusing administrators of political censorship after the school restricted access to conservative news outlets and websites while allowing students to visit liberal sites.

Andrew Lampart, a student at Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury, Connecticut, was assigned an in-class debate on gun-control during his "Law & You" course. While preparing for the debate during study hall Lampart logged onto the school provided Internet and found out that students were forbidden from visiting The National Association for Gun Rights website or the news outlet TheBlaze.com.

"I used my study hall to research gun control facts and statistics. That is when I noticed that most of the pro-second amendment websites were blocked, while the sites that were in favor of gun control generally were not," Lampart told Campus Reform.

He’s probably lucky he didn’t get expelled for having any thoughts about guns.

Sounds like the kid needs to change his report from Gun Control to being about liberal bias/indoctrination in our “public” school system.

They are totally unashamed and unfazed when you point out their hypocrisy.

Unexpected.

Woodbury is one of the few towns in Connecticut that voted against Obama in 2008 and 2012.

It isn’t a hotbed of conservatism, but it leans republican.

You’re right. They use hypocrisy as a means to an end. It’s as useful as their lies. They have no shame because they are soulless.

But, but, liberals are all about tolerance, no?

One way only. You have to be tolerant to them and their protected groups, the reverse is not true.

It’s an “educational” institution, not the community.

Schools have been indoctrinating people for years. Just like the soviets, they are attempting to change the facts and to rewrite history.

Hartland is the most republican town in Connecticut.

In 2008, it went 60/40 Obama/McCain.
It’s a little bit more republican than Alabama.

Hartland, Prospect, Wolcott, Watertown, Middlebury and Oxford are all more republican than Texas.

(note that I am careful to call them republican and not conservative)

A mind is a terrible thing to control. Reminds me of the old Radio Free Europe ad. A kid with a rusty chain wrapped around his head.

Well said, and I wish the conservative movement would wake up and realize this. Pointing out liberal hypocrisy and corruption worked 20 years ago. It doesn't work any more.

Pointing out hypocrisy isn't attacking. At some point, we need to attack them. Call them racists. Accuse them of a war on women, or trying to starve children. Example: does anybody think Obama cares that we daily point out everything he does is illegal and unconstitutional?

They've been doing it to us for decades with stunning success.
