IRS ‘Lost’ Emails From Official That Met With Top Obama Assistant
The Daily Caller ^ | June 19, 2014 | Patrick Howley

An IRS official whose emails were “lost” visited the White House frequently during the agency’s targeting of conservatives and met with a top assistant to President Obama who exchanged confidential information on conservative groups with the IRS.

The IRS recently claimed that it lost emails from Nikole Flax, who served as chief of staff to former IRS commissioner Steven Miller. Flax was one of seven IRS employees including ex-official Lois Lerner whose emails to and from White House officials and other Obama administration agencies were purportedly deleted and could not be handed over to congressional investigators.

Flax held personal meetings with a top assistant to President Obama and also colluded with Lerner to prosecute conservative activists.

Flax made 31 visits to the White House between July 12, 2010 and May 8, 2013, according to White House visitor logs. Flax’s visits started in the early days of the IRS targeting program and ended just two days before the IRS scandal broke on May 10, 2013.

Flax met twice in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building with deputy assistant to the president for health policy Jeanne Lambrew, on Oct. 5, 2012 and Jan. 15, 2013.

Who is Jeanne Lambrew?

THIS is when you need a SWAT team and a bunch of forensic techs go in and rummage through all of IRS computers and backups with a microscope.

A good IT guy should be able to recover any “lost” e-mails so the Obama Crime Syndicate will have to “lose” the hard drives next.

So what’s the Republican leadership doing about this? They seem useless as the regime continues to proceed without fear from them.

Pick any Obama scandal, or choose any Obama foreign crisis and watch Speaker Boehner cover it up.

Political Aide of “Apolitical” IRS Visited White House As Many as 310 Times

June 21, 2013
by Teri O’Brien

From The Washington Examiner:

While congressional lawmakers are questioning why former Internal Revenue Service Commissioner Douglas Shulman paid dozens of visits to the White House during his tenure, Shulman’s top political aide seems to have spent even more time working side-by-side with members of the Obama administration. White House visitor logs show Shulman’s chief of staff, Jonathan M. Davis, appears to have visited the White House and adjacent Eisenhower office building as many as 310 times between the fall of 2009 and February 2013. … “The involvement of the service in a major domestic initiative like the Affordable Care Act does create the risk that the independence of the IRS can be eroded, and that is of concern,” Everson said. … Davis met there with economic policy advisor Jason Furman and Melody Barnes, director of Obama’s Domestic Policy Council. Davis also had meetings scheduled with Nancy-Ann DeParle, then Obama’s deputy chief of staff for policy; Cecilia Munoz, head of Obama’s Domestic Policy Council; Chris Lu, assistant to the president and cabinet secretary; and Alan Krueger, chairman of Obama’s Council of Economic Advisors.

Yes, that’s the same Cecilia Muños who is Obama’s point person on the current amnesty bill. I can’t imagine why anyone would have lost trust in the ability of the IRS to enforce the tax laws fairly, can you?

And, check this little nugget out, which of course, comes at the end of the story.

During [Steve]Miller’s tenure[former IRS Commissioner], his chief of staff was Nikole Flax, who also regularly visited the administration officials in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building and made several visits to the White House.

In 2008 and 2009 she served as a senior technical advisor in the agency’s now-embattled Tax Exempt and Government Entities Division, which is under congressional investigation for targeting conservative groups.

Flax helped to write the IRS response to the audit that uncovered the targeting, according to transcripts of interviews with IRS staff conducted by congressional investigators.

White House logs show Flax, during her time at the IRS, met with Munoz as well as health care advisors Ezekiel Emanuel (emphasis mine) and Jeanne Lambrew.

Yes, THAT Ezekiel Emanuel, brother of Rahm, and well-known admirer of the British National Health Service.

Swear Flax in and take sworn testimony under threat of perjury since crimes were probably committed.

Top IRS officials repeatedly used private email to do official business, including sending classified documents to non-agency email addresses, U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa says.

Issa, a California Republican and chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, wrote a letter to IRS Acting Commissioner Daniel Werfel outlining a “troubling pattern” involving at least four senior officials — including now-retired official Lois Lerner, who’s at the center of a tea party groups’ targeting scandal.

http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/Issa-IRS-fear-emails/2013/10/07/id/529740#ixzz356243azP

Issa wrote that he discovered the unsecure emails while investigating the agency’s targeting of tea party and conservative groups during the 2012 election season.

Issa’s investigation accuses Lerner of producing more than 1,600 pages of emails and documents housed in a nonofficial email account related to official business, including almost 30 pages of confidential taxpayer information, The Examiner reported.

The cache included a summary of an application for tax-exempt status the IRS instructed Lerner’s legal counsel to redact because the information was prohibited from being disclosed, it reported.

Issa’s investigation also showed former IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman, who stepped down after the November election, also received emails related to official business on a nonofficial email account, The Examiner reported.

Other IRS officials reportedly targeted are Judith Kindell, senior technical adviser of the Exempt Organization Division, and Nikole Flax, chief of staff of the Office of the Commissioner.

“This rampant use of nonofficial email by four IRS officials to conduct official business suggests that such use is a systemic problem throughout the IRS,” Issa wrote. “This is also a concern to the committee because federal taxpayer information cannot be shared on nonsecure, nonofficial systems.”

Issa has asked Werfel to brief the committee about the handling of emails at the agency, but no spokesperson has commented, The Examiner said, citing the government shutdown.
