Suffolk-Herald poll: Romney is early favorite in N.H. 2016 GOP primary
The Boston Herald ^ | June 19, 2014 | Joe Battenfield

The surprise early frontrunner in New Hampshire’s next GOP presidential primary is the loser of the last White House race – former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who wipes the 2016 field by a more than 2-1 margin, a new Suffolk University-Boston Herald poll reveals.

The poll of 800 likely Granite State voters has less encouraging news for another ex-Massachusetts politician, former U.S. Sen. Scott Brown. He trails incumbent Democrat Jeanne Shaheen by 10 points and is now viewed unfavorably by 46 percent of New Hampshire voters.

Noooooooooooo!!!

I voted for Romney in 2012, because I believed anything was better than 4 more years of Obama. But he wasn’t “my guy” then, and we sure as heck have better options for 2016.

"And the pissant state of New Hampshire is relevant, why?"

Because it is the first primary in the nation and because candidates and the media spend more time and money there than any other primary state. The Iowa Caucus is relevant for the same reason.

Still though, it’s the brain-dead states that follow Red Hampshire who add to the problem.

No question. But once the 'rigged against conservatives' Red Hampshire election results spawn yet another RINO, the media trumpets them as the best thing since sliced bread, and we suffer thru another long primary season with dismal results.

That needs to change.

Wait I’m confused. Didn’t Romney just lose a Presidential election to the most incompetent sitting President we have had in a century?
This is the best the GOPe can do?

If the GOP had any brains, only about 25% of the delegates would be awarded based on the state's electoral votes. The remaining 75% would be awarded based on the ability of the state to elect the GOP to statewide office and deliver electoral votes in November.

The last time NH actually did so was 14 years ago.

I agree. States that actually vote Republican in the election should have a greater role in choosing the candidate.

I’m convinced Romney is going to win in 2016 to complete the “end of times”.

My dream ticket is Palin/West.

***********
If West doesn’t make it on the Republican ticket, at least give him the Department of Defense. He’d get the politicized DoD back on the right track.

Same for Bolton who should be Secretary of State. He’d restore gravitas, dignity and respect back into the disaster that is now U.S. foreign policy.

Let’s not get our undies in too big a wad just yet. Twenty-four percent in what should be a favorite son poll isn’t very impressive. Romney has the name recognition being the 2012 nominee and having served as governor in the largest state in the region. I don’t see this as a sign of strength at all.

Does anybody remember this?

In an interview with the Boston Globe, GOP presidential contender Mitt Romney’s son Tagg described his father as reluctant to run for the presidency and hesitant to reveal his personal side during the long campaign.

“He wanted to be president less than anyone I’ve met in my life. He had no desire to … run,” said Tagg, according to the report.

And this is someone we should get behind, why?

There is no evidence that Einstein said that. First incidence was in Rita Mae Brown’s novel Sudden Death.

The GOP-E ruling class was hoping to nominate a ticket of Thurston Howell and Chatsworth Worthington XXXII But Mr. Howell and his wife are still stuck on that island, shipwrecked with that peasant Gilligan, the captain, the professor and those two girls. Meanwhile, Mr. Worthington could not be found even by Dobie Gillis or Maynard.

So, it is another go round with the malicious King of Snore and father of Romneycare and grandfather of Obozocare, a true POS, and his Wall Street and K Street boodlers.
