He's certainly got some of the more interesting bumper music around, anyone else out there listen?

I especially enjoy his fourays into Asian happenings and history in general..

Not to mention this fall we will be cruising thru a number of conflicts both political and social.

WE survived Greece and Roma.

ON to Beijing and Bangkok..

And the Vietnam straits..

Besides, the fact I'm an aging fart and too pooped to post much anymore, still, he stands out in a maelstrom of hosts chasing golden mics..

I listen when I think of it.

He got scammed by the ‘last train from Hiroshima’ author.

I’m certain it’s in better condition than Detroit.

In 1950 Detroit enjoyed the highest standard of living in the US and was the fourth largest city in the country. I think I heard that on one of Batchelor’s programs, probably with Thaddeus McCotter as his guest.

Not to exalt your self description, though true, it may be, it is gross...Batchelor had the best show on radio bar none, when it was Batchelor and Alexander, Batchelor not being the slouch in the duo.

Am sure it’s still good.

Haven’t tuned in in awhile.

I used to post one, but due to lack of interest I stopped. I like him okay, but he’s definitely an establishment GOPer, but at least he is honest about it.

I used to listen to him regularly but now not so much because of other commitments. He’s very good with international crises, and his NASA/space stuff is always interesting and informative. I should try to tune in more often.

Hi Perdogg, actually I think he is a Democrat, he lives in NYC after all. But he hides it well and doesn’t offend. His skill in interviewing book authors is awesome.

I find Batchelor's topics concerning foreign affairs interesting & informative, but much of his domestic reporting is too tilted to the establishment POV.

When he and Kudlow get on the subject of amnesty I have to flat turn him off.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Train_From_Hiroshima

Facing withering criticism from groups that had questioned aspects of the book, publisher Henry Holt and Company suspended printing as Pellegrino “had relied on a fraudulent source for a portion of the book and possibly fabricated others”.[7]

Pellegrino said that he had trusted Joseph Fuoco, who had claimed to be a replacement flight engineer on one of the planes that escorted the Enola Gay to Hiroshima.[1]

John Macrae, who edited the book for the publisher, said that he had questioned and received confirmation of hundreds of sections of the book. Macrae said that he had heard claims from scientist friends that the original atomic bomb had been involved in an accident and that his focus had been on confirming aspects of the book involving survivors, including efforts to speak with double survivor Yamaguchi.

Richard Rhodes, author of The Making of the Atomic Bomb said that he would have sought stronger confirmation for aspects of Pellegrino’s story that represented “a radical change in the historical record”.[7]

Pellegrino also faced questions about the existence of Father Mattias, a priest who was said to have survived the bomb in Hiroshima, and of John MacQuitty, who the book said officiated at his funeral.[8]

However, director James Cameron defended Pellegrino, saying “All I know is that Charlie would not fabricate so there must be a reason for the misunderstanding” and believes that it was caused by “elaborate deception to create a false account.”[9]

In early March 2010, the publisher announced that “It is with deep regret that Henry Holt and Company announces that we will not print, correct or ship copies” of the book.[3][9]

He’s a Republican, but definitely an establishment Republican. Which is why you might mistake him for being a Democrat.

“When he and Kudlow get on the subject of amnesty I have to flat turn him off. “

Isn’t that the truth. Cocaine Larry is a silk shirted elitist who never has to live with the fallout from his illegal alien darlings.

You’re welcome.

I was sorry to learn that the story wasn’t accurate. It could still make a good movie for James Cameron I suppose.

I've been listening for over a year now, and I think the show has gotten better over that time. Although he is an admitted "liberal republican", the show covers Israel, space, and foreign affairs as well as any I've ever found. I download the podcast and never miss a show. Plus the podcast cuts 4 hours down to 160 minutes (no radio ads or top of the hour news). If you are making a ping list, count me in.

You can find the podcast through his website, I-tunes, Feedly, and Beyond Pod.

I’m not sure but did I hear Kudlow say he voted for Obama twice? I may be mistaken as he says he is a Free Market Capitalist. Although he is married to an editor of The Nation...
