Or did I miss it?
He's certainly got some of the more interesting bumper music around, anyone else out there listen?
I especially enjoy his fourays into Asian happenings and history in general..
Not to mention this fall we will be cruising thru a number of conflicts both political and social.
WE survived Greece and Roma.
ON to Beijing and Bangkok..
And the Vietnam straits..

I knew i had seen threads... Thanks.
I like the weird music..
he is occasionally a little too obvious but
like a pro he usually can reel it back in.
i grab him out of reno late night..
sf bay has him earlier in the evening
I like the fact that he’s a passionate supporter of Israel and has Malcolm Hoenlein on regularly. His fascination with history, science, and space exploration makes for a very rewarding show.
Fascinating show.
Agree. Sometimes on the weekends, he'll devote 4 hours to a historical topic, such as US-Japanese relations in the early 20th century, or D-Day.
Are you thinking of Steve Cohen, who is married to Hurricane Katrina vanden Heuvel?
I do take issue from time to time. Today for example his guest talked about the decline (my word) of the Tea Party post 2010; but no mention of the crap piled on Tea Party members by the IRS, et al. Instead of Tea Party the people seem to be avoiding left-right issues and divide between we the people and Washington.
I emailed a complaint to Batchelor for the hit piece (IMO) that he and a guest did on Army Major General Edwin A. Walker who resigned the Army after disputes with JFK to join the anti-communist efforts as a civilian because it did not seem to him that Washington was doing enough.
His association with the John Birch Society immediately got him in trouble with JFK/RFK and was "detained" for mental observation but released within days after public outcry.
He was falsely accused of leading violent protests at U. of Mississippi, sued news service AP, won, AP appealed all the way to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court took AP's side saying that AP did not do it deliberately.
Batchelor and his guest talked about Walker "leading" racist, violent protests but nothing about his successful suit against AP for reporting false information.
Makes me wonder about other items. But in general it's an excellent source of information well beyond anything else on radio.
I can’t stand Kudlow. He said when first elected ‘’Obama will be a good president’’ and he loves illegals. That and the fact he doesn’t seem to understand what the concept of ‘’anonymous’’ in Alcoholics Anonymous means.
I’ve listened to him many times in my car and the way home from work and wish him well.
Tonight at home I was listening to Mark Levin on the internet. Batchelor (WJR 760 Detroit) comes on right after Levin.
The choice? I switched off Batchelor and went Alex Jones
MUCH MORE content from Alex than John (I can’t pick up Alex’s signal on my car radio late at night so I listen to John)
choice (and reason for making it)
freedom
“Are you thinking of Steve Cohen, who is married to Hurricane Katrina vanden Heuvel? “
My bad. You’re right. Steve Cohen must sound just like Kudlow, or they appear on Batchelor’s show together and I get them confused. This is what I get for believing what I think my ears are hearing. :)
Bookmark.
Often interesting and informative with plenty of details. Great program.
I only recall one annoying instance where he and Kudlow wouldn’t shut up about the conservative resistance to illegal immigration. They were both very foolish in their childish, condescending remarks.
To me, he’s the Art Bell of politics. Always weaving a fantastical story with hints of kook and paranoia, but based in politics rather than supernatural.
Seriously, John has a very informative program most of the time. I listen to it when I am driving home from work late.
John Batchelor is a major league sucky show. Has the same metrosexual voice as Medved, the second to worse bumper music after Art Bell reruns, and a tired world war II historical content that would bore people in rest homes that were actually there.
Yeah, the intellectual dishonesty is staggering. As if there is no difference between legal and illegal immigration. I’m thinking of ceasing to listen to Batchelor because of it. Not to mention he had Dean Obeidallah on.
Cohen has a preternaturally class A radio voice (at least over the phone). And he is married to the editor of the Nation. And he admits to voting the wrong way in 2008 and 2012. But Batchelor nevertheless has him on because Russia is hot, and he knows a hell of a lot about Russia.
How he could possibly be mistaken for Kudlow escapes me.
BTW, you can download Kudlow's three-hour (115 minute) Saturday radio show here (the RSS feed is here).
I would listen to him more if he didn’t seem obsess on China so much.

Thanks. I listen to in on WMAL, so I am (or so I thought) familiar with his voice, don’t know how I could have mixed him up with the other guy if they’re not similar.
