Michelle Obama Tells the Congress ‘It’s Unacceptable’ To End My School Lunch Program

House Republicans are trying to end Michelle Obama’s school lunch initative and the First Lady’s not happy about it.

She used a White House event on Tuesday to rally opposition to a bill passed by a House subcommittee that would allow districts to suspend the program.

From Fox News:

Seeing her nutritional standards under threat, the first lady hosted a discussion with school leaders on Tuesday afternoon at the White House where she ripped efforts to roll back those guidelines.

“This is unacceptable,” Obama said.

The first lady said families realize the country is facing a “health crisis,” and the “last thing we can afford to do right now is play politics with kids’ health.”

School districts are claiming that the lunch guidelines are overly restrictive and kids are throwing away the required fruits and vegetables. Some children have complained they were still hungry due to limited portion sizes as a part of the initative (the USDA eventually scrapped the strict portion limits).

It is not “unacceptable” to believe that local school districts, who deal with students and parents on a daily basis, would have a better idea of how to feed their students than Washington bureaucrats and bored un-elected activists who dare to tell the people’s elected representatives how to do their jobs.

Michelle (Michael) Antoinette is just full of it.

The federal department of indoctrination, has
never been conceived, until the Obama Soetero
Queer in charge and his drag queen were
immaculated, to be the department of nutrition.

I earned my high school diploma, before that peanut
farmer started that darn thing.

“‘It’s Unacceptable’ To End My School Lunch Program”

Were there not school lunch programs for the destitute before MooChelle came along? That being said, school was never meant to be a free lunch program.

I truly pity the next Republican First Lady because no matter what cause she chooses to get involved in the Democrats are going to rip her to shreds.

I don’t recall anyone voting for her. She can’t tell Congress what to do.

Wait and watch. Doesn't matter who it is or what she chooses to support it's going to be ugly.

She is worried about the health of the children when her husband just brought in thousands of scabby illegals.

That’s the thing, Zer0 & Mooch declare something and the underlings say,”yez’uh boss man”.
What if the worker bees ignore their proclamation?
The school systems keep serving what they want. Mooch gonna have the school boards arrested?

Oh I agree. And it will be because the media allows it. When I hear it from the Dems I know I will be immediately making fun of this fatbutt nutritionist we have now.

Malaysia and Saskatchewan get only the best. Our kids don’t deserve such royal delicacies as real food.

Mooch needs to understand that kids are throwing away her lunches and it’s costing millions in uneaten food, so what kind of nutrition are those children getting? Low blood sugar does not translate to good grades.

As for who is politicizing this lunch program let’s see who has the most to gain....why it’s Michelle, not the children.
This failed program has to go, and parents need to be able to send healthy lunches to schoool without some left wing nutcase confiscating and disposing of the child’s lunch.

It’s about time someone did something for the American Children who have to endure this nonsense. I’m all for healthy lunches, but these minimum wage cooks in public schools have no idea how to prepare some of the things being purchased, and if it’s not tasty and good...it’s going in the trash. You can’t throw a kiwi on a plate and entice a third grader to eat it, idiots all. Make a tasty little salad with the kiwi peeled and diced in it with a great dressing and you have a winner.....

Children should be included in taste tests of food that will be served in school lunches, but you cannot tell the leftist control freaks that.

It is not the food that is making kids fat so much as it is the life style kids are forced to live. When I was a kid we walked to school, we walked home for lunch, then we walked back to school and then we walked home and played outside. We had recess and gym class and we played outside before school. We ran with abandon and we fell out of trees and off swings.

Now these poor kids are bubble wrapped, dropped at the door, picked up. They have to have play dates set up for them. Referees and trophies for all. Parents to busy to pay much attention to them, over load the kids with activities. It's no wonder we are raising a bunch of tyrants?

I feel sorry for today's kids.
