Just thought some may be interested to see how the guy who claims the emails were archived now explains that they were lost.

I will say this...if this had been in the Army or Air Force...the director in charge of the IT division would have been escorted out of the building and fired, and the contractors involved in support...laid off that day and a whole new team brought in within days. I can’t imagine any IT professional cooperating to this mess....to the degree that your reputation in life is permanently screwed up if a new employer finds out you were working for the IRS.

They can contradict themselves twenty times before breakfast and it never bothers them. Nor are they ever held accountable for it.

I keep hoping that will change, but I don’t know - the press is simply not interested.

The media should be outraged that one party is only interested in defending the IRS and accusing the GOP during an investigation.

QY: Has IRS know since Feb that the emails were gone? Why wasn’t Congress informed of potential problem?

A: wanted to complete investigation.

QY: Treasury was told that WH was told in April. Who told Treasury?

A: damfino

The “hard drive” issue is a major “squirrel”.
The emails weren’t on any workstation “hard drive”.

Pushed Koskinen into saying he supported a special prosecutor. It really pissed of Sander Levin.

I think Levin is heavily sedated - or does he always talk like that?

Koskinen is just stonewalling Camp’s questions. He reminds me of an undertaker. Levin lecturing about being disrespectful to witnesses is BS and Levin’s just wasting time.

Sander Levin is the older of the Levin brothers. He’s a lifer.

Koskinen does NOT support a special prosecutor.

Yes and no. Digging for any data that can be recovered is priority. Finding if there is intentional destruction of records that are by statute to be preserved is also important.

I will be worried if next round does not go to servers and archiving.
