Is the House Leadership now more conservative?? Only slightly. Judge by the numbers.

Apparently the Speaker's votes are never rated. All four agencies rated Boehner as n/a. So we can only judge by the rest of the leadership. With Cantor, the republican leadership's overall average was 60%. With McCarthy as Majority Leader and Scalise as Whip, it will be 67%. Does anybody wonder why conservatism is CONTINUALLY thwarted??

Cantor - 66% (Average) - 52% (Heritage) - 68% (CFG) - 84% (ACU) - 59% (FreedomWorks)

McCarthy - 54% (Average) - 42% (Heritage) - 53% (CFG) - 72% (ACU) - 50% (Freedomworks)

McMorris-Hyphen - 60% (Average) - 48% (Heritage) - 59% (CFG) - 72% (ACU) - 59% (FreedomWorks)

McCarthy - 54% (Average) - 42% (Heritage) - 53% (CFG) - 72% (ACU) - 50% (FreedomWorks)

Scalise - 88% (Average) - 81% (Heritage) - 84% (CFG) - 100% (ACU) - 86% (FreedomWorks)

McMorris-Hyphen - 60% (Average) - 48% (Heritage) - 59% (CFG) - 72% (ACU) - 59% (FreedomWorks)

Canters problem wasn’t lack of conservativism. It was that he had the wrong masters. He chose the cronies over his district.

“Do you know anything about Mr. Scalise??”

Very little. Judging by his votes, he’s a hell of a lot more conservative than Cantor and McCarthy. And being from Louisiana, he won’t be protected by the moderate republicans that live in California (McCarthy) or Washington (McMorris-Hyphen) or even Ohio (Boehner).

Note that the democrat leadership is composed of Pelosi and Hoyer, two leftist from California and Maryland.

IF a “Conservative Politician” is a Politician that “Conserves,” THEN what in the “Obama” has Rep. Scalise EVER “Conserved?”

We shouldn’t expect political power to be surrendered easily. It will have to be wrenched from their grubby, greedy little hands little by little, election by election. But, it can be done.
