The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) on Friday became the most prominent religious group in the United States to endorse divestment as a protest against Israeli policies toward Palestinians, voting to sell church stock in three companies whose products Israel uses in the occupied territories.
Last week, the pension board of the United Methodist Church, the largest mainline Protestant group in the U.S., revealed plans to sell its holdings worth about $110,000 in G4S, which provides security equipment and has contracts with Israel's prison system.

The Presbyterian Church USA is THE CHURCH OF SATAN.
Most Protestant churches seem to be going that way.
I don’t know that they are the church of satan, however, I do believe they have lost their first calling as a Christian church.
This is part of the reason Mainline denominations are losing members at alarming rates.
I’ve been a Presbyterian for a long time but I’m out - this is disgusting.
I am not sure of the numbers of these liberal churches but I can speak to my Presbyterian Church of America (PCA) church and bible-believing churches in my area. My church has sustained a 10-20% annual growth rate over the last ten dollars. In my area bible-believing protestant churches are doing quite well. So I would not paint such a broad brush.
All the non-Christian churches are taking similar approaches to queers, Israel, etc. Shouldn’t be that shocking as the Bible predicts it.
There is no such thing as a Palestinian.
I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you.
The gay-loving, Jew-haters?
You would think that any organization that professes to believe in the Bible would see what they’re doing is predicted in that same Bible.
I Timothy 1:19-20.
PCUSA. ... Politically Corrupted United Satanists of America. What a stinking rotten filthy Nazi outfit! It’s incredible. Any decent moral person needs to run out of that anti-Christian cesspool of a “ church” Immediately. Fortunately, there are many good denominations and independent congregations that still try to follow God’s Word.
They are going to try to hurt Israel by selling the stock they have in American companies? Baloney. They’re cashing out to cover current expenses.
It’s nice to see that they have finally gotten rid of any semblance of appearing Christian - support for gay marriage and ditching Israel under the bus - yep devil’s spawn!
Wow, What the hell is wrong with the Presbyterians?
Favoring terrorists over the Jews, Mocking God with Okaying homosexual marriage.
They should be ashamed to call themselves Christians.....
I am glad for you and the people in your area. There must be a line at some point where good churches of these organisations, who have become apostate, remove themselves from them or become infected by their lies. I would suggest the line has long since been crossed. “Come out of her my people” seems very appropriate in these times.
I wouldn't say I'm "out" but I've been a "C and E" Presbyterian for a few years now. (I understand offerings are way down at our church, so maybe I'm not alone.)
Evangelical churches support Israel.
110,000.......that’s a good weeks collection in our parish
Thank God himself that we just recently left PCUSA for ECO. What evil. Satan has taken over.
Ive been a Presbyterian for a long time but Im out - this is disgusting.
Good. May you find a better spiritual home soon. I’d tease you about joining us Catholics *wink* - but a lot of former PC USA members seem to be more comfortable with some of the Southern Baptist churches.
Just remember Screwtape’s advice to his nephew on how to tempt his assigned man: “If you can’t stop your subject from going to church, make him shop around.”
Good luck and blessings to you.
SOME, perhaps, and a number of so-called “mainline” churches, such as methodists, UCC, and so forth, have definitely slipped away from their first love, who is the Christ.
On the other hand, chuches who preach the unmitigated GOSPEL are growing at an amazing rate. My Baptist church has to set up seats in the back virtually every week for new folks. We preach nothing but the Gospel and we now run 6-7 buses going to various local cities, bringing in kids and families. God is richly blessing us
So kindly refrain from trying to tar ALL Protestant Churches with the same satanic brush. It hasn’t worked before and won’t now.
Please point out where I used the word “all.”
“Most,” without definition as to WHO is part of it, may as well be “all,” as one is left unable to know who ISN’T part of that “most.” Which may have been your intent.
In 1984 they had 3,100,951 members. As of 2013 their membership has declined to 1,760,200.
In the last couple of years it has been dropping about 5% a year.
“For behold, God is not mocked.”
You’re free to infer whatever you please, but don’t put words in my mouth and don’t try to read my mind.
The PCA did just that back in 1973 and broke off from PC USA.
