I agree that it’s a delay tactic, among other things.

My major point is that they goofed in claiming a TWO YEAR time period. The longest period that ANYONE at IRS can reasonably lose data is SIX MONTHS and not two years.

Take a look at this link to the IRS website listing the rules governing handling and storage of emails. Why aren't Republicans like Ryan and Gowdy hitting the IRS illegitimate sodomizers with subpoenas and demanding to know how they can make such specious claims as though the wayward emails were lost due to one hard-drive crash? What the he!! is the matter with people?
