'Lost' IRS emails: Get real, Team Obama, we’re not that gullible
FoxNews ^ | June 17, 2014 | Jay Sekulow

Indeed, in the aftermath of this absurd assertion, the response from experts was overwhelming: The story makes no sense. IRS emails were not permanently stored on Lois Lerner’s computer alone (of course) but on servers that preserve records. They would remain there even if Lerner decided to do something outrageous like light her computer on fire in an effort to hide her criminal activity.

Ideology trumps the Constitution. That appears to be the Obama administration’s political doctrine in four simple words.

This story must have been invented by the same people who claimed that the Benghazi terrorist attack was really just a demonstration sparked by an anti-Islam video.

They don't even bother to make up plausible stories...

"Get real, Team Obama, we’re not that gullible"

Oh yes we are. We'll whine and send emails to our friends...but that's about it.

Every other organization in the planet can recall emails, but not obama’s IRS. These are the same people who want to be in charge if your medical records, all of them. And when they find out you are a member if the TEA party your medical records will be accidentally lost. That vital procedure delayed, that deadly allergy or drug interaction lost. ....

44 U.S. Code § 3301 - Definition of records

As used in this chapter, “records” includes all books, papers, maps, photographs, machine readable materials, or other documentary materials, regardless of physical form or characteristics, made or received by an agency of the United States Government under Federal law or in connection with the transaction of public business and preserved or appropriate for preservation by that agency or its legitimate successor as evidence of the organization, functions, policies, decisions, procedures, operations, or other activities of the Government or because of the informational value of data in them. Library and museum material made or acquired and preserved solely for reference or exhibition purposes, extra copies of documents preserved only for convenience of reference, and stocks of publications and of processed documents are not included.

They are there.. if they can remember grandma who passed 30 years ago owes them 30 bucks, they know what the emails are about and how to get them.

I wish we had capital punishment for corrupt politicians. Off a few of them and government would get better.

When a drive crashes the whole system knows it and the drive is immediately restored from backups. At least that’s the way the should work.

Find the guy who didn’t restore the drive as required. Find out why.

How’s this.

These people want to live and act outside of the law.
OK fine, lets go all out. If they choose to live outside the law, then they do not get any Constitutional protections.

No pleading of the 5th. No ban of search and seizure.
No free speech or assembly.

Screw these people. I hope that some day, someone in the gop grows a set and just goes all flamethrower on these people.

Let us stop right here and get real. Obama on his way out and can do what ever he wants to. Hell he’s been doing it already for two years of more. Will do no good to bitch about it and the gutless republicans and the House will talk , special prosecutor , impeachment, the Law, etc. but we all know he will leave office with absolutely NO consequences. Right? Here is my theory: let all these illegals in now, youth and older and on his last year, going out the door , declare them all legal and you know he can do it and nothing we can do about it but complain. That’s the way it is coming down. Who do I blame? stupid ass voters for not voting for real Conservatives (not republican RINOs) And states like California who keep putting Boxer, Pelosi and Feinstein etc back in office year after stupid year.

There is only one conclusion that can be drawn from this. The truth is more damaging than the fallout from this concocted story. Would you rather spend one year or fifteen years in prison?

What fallout? Nobody is even reporting it except the so-called conservative media like Fox News.

ABCCBSCNNNBC nary a whisper.

And even when the rags like the NYT, Wash Post, Ganett, etc., have done stories, they’re on page A19...

No, there will be no repercussions because few outside our hyper-aware circle even know about it. The media is a very effective gate-keeper, and frankly are running away with wins for Obama....

Things needed to be clarified for our side for non-geeks like myself:

1. From Democrats we hear that “oh but IRS backups were ancient, done on old tape systems which were finally replaced in 2013, so when they were junked, the email backups were lost.” This was argued passionately by some Dem on O’Reilly’s show tonight....there was no attempt to rebut.

2.We keep hearing that Lerner’s emails were lost and six other key players, but how many others had their emails lost? Tens? Hundreds of IRS employees? Thousands? What’s the context?

Sorry, but before I can argue strongly with my liberal friends, we need to know from IT geeks.

Fascinating. They're "deniers".

Unalienable Rights deniers, or URDs. I like the sound of that.

Some of those emails went to GOP leadership. I’m convinced of it. There is no other plausible explanation as to why they are not doing anything about it. That hearing today was a damn joke. Just like the rest of them.

Today, I listened to Cain, Rush, Hannity and Erikson drone on about the elfin’ hard drive. Its gone, forget about it. However, in the places I’ve worked, that all used Microsoft Office, all use Microsoft Outlook. Which, archives everything for 7 years, unless you go in there and take it out. I have a hard time believing that the Feds use anything else, but who knows.

Have a friend that does that computer forensics stuff. He stated that even the deleting of the files would show up with a date and time stamp.

To my point, the easiest way to get everything is simple. Get the computer geeks and go to every agency that they know she sent emails to at this point. Have them dig into those computers, servers and files and I’m quite sure they’ll be a treasure trove. Once they get one email and see all the people in the distribution list, then they go after those peoples files.

Its soooo damn easy, but I guess when you’re dealing with the feds, everything is difficult. And of course, how we can we trust any of these clowns to actually do their job, anyway.
