Hillary Clinton criticizes partisan divide at Austin stop

AUSTIN - Sounding more presidential aspirant than book-selling author, former secretary of state and first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton on Friday excoriated the current partisan divide in U.S. politics that she insisted is crippling America's can-do spirit for the future.

"Our political system has to be fixed so we start working together again," she said at a packed performance hall speech that was repeatedly interrupted by cheers in Texas' Democrat-friendly capital city.

"We have to start acting like Americans. We're all on the same team."

During a 45-minute speech, Clinton criticized current politicians who she said underscore the fact they're right, in part "because they have a channel to the Divine" - an apparent reference to evangelical Republicans who are driving much of the criticism of Democrats such as herself.

A 'simple' vision

While she remained coy about her intentions to seek the Democratic nomination for president in two years, Clinton was asked what agenda she would recommend for the next president.

She then gave her vision for the job.

"I have a very simple vision: restore the American dream for the American people," she said to cheers and applause. "Restore our trust in people."...........

I know there is alot of cynicism here, but this woman, if she gets the nomination, is not going to be president. It's a combination of her crooked past, her incompetence whenever she was put in charge of anything, she isn't going to excite the young people who thought voting for the black guy would be cool, and the fact that she represents all that is wrong with DC
