Media urge China to 'not interfere' in Iraq

Media urge China to 'not interfere' in Iraq Many families have fled the ongoing violence in the Iraqi city of Mosul Media advise China to not interfere in Iraq, while criticising the US for "creating a mess" in the Middle East. President Barack Obama says the US will send 300 military advisers to Iraq to help fight Islamist-led insurgents. Sunni radical group Isis has taken control of several Iraqi cities and towns in the past few days, report say. Mr Obama said the US was prepared for "targeted and precise military action, if and when" required, but added that US troops would not fight in Iraq. Some media outlets have noted discussion in the US media suggesting that China should shoulder more responsibility because it has economic interests in Iraq. According to local reports, China's state-owned oil firms run several projects in the southern regions of Iraq. In response to the call in the US media, the Global Times' Chinese edition points out that China "does not possess the capability to handle a large-scale war mission that is a great distance away". "The US is instigating China to interfere in Iraq because it hopes to pass the mess to Beijing and to slow down the development of China," it says. It adds that China has to deal with territorial disputes in Asia and it does not have the "energy to care about Iraq." Echoing similar sentiments, an article in the China Net says Washington's Middle East strategy is a "complete failure" which has led to the current turmoil in Iraq.

No American blood and treasure for Chinese oil.

We’ve been there, and done that.

Asia Exposed to Oil Shock
The crisis in Iraq could have significant repercussions for Asia’s economies.

By Anthony Fensom
June 20, 2014

Surging oil prices caused by Iraq’s latest crisis threaten another oil shock for Asia, analysts have warned. With India and Indonesia particularly exposed, can the region ride out the storm?

On Thursday, Brent crude reached a nine-month high of more than $115 a barrel, amid concerns that escalating instability in Iraq could curb supply from the world’s sixth-biggest oil exporter.

Iraqi government forces were battling Sunni rebels over control of the nation’s biggest refinery at Baiji, with U.S. President Barack Obama pledging to send military advisors and conduct “targeted” air strikes if necessary to assist the beleaguered Baghdad government.

obviously if I don’t support sending your son back to die in Iraq to secure oil fields run by and for the Chinese, I must be for communism.

It seems the Islamists have China’s achilles heel -corruption.

China is complicit in the heroin trade, because corrupt officials are getting their palms greased. The Uyghar people (Islamists) in Chinese Turkestan are claiming to want independence, and committing acts of terrorism in China. Criminals with money are dangerous. Just like in Africa, they are getting out of control.

The US refuses to ackowledge the Uyghar violence as terrorists activities. Obama support Islamists. China has Iraq oil fields and is dependent on them. The entire world has precarious economies, and rising oil prices will throw them completely off balance.

Americans have a president beholden tomsomething other than the American people, but the rest of the world has much more to fear than we do. The African killings of entire villages and anyone Christian, by Islamists, is a real possibility for EU, with Muslim populations that exceed native ones in many cities.

Al Qaeda and other Islamic offshoots such as ISIS, are simply soldiers for the drug cartels. The cartels’ profit from the misery of others is estimated at $3TRILLION in narcotics, and $32 Billion in the modern slave trade -cash. These terrorists function under the guise, and added motivation, of an Islamic Revolution. It is very likely the Uighar are also involved in the heroin trade, and the Chinese government is complicit.

There is also the fact that Afghan poppy production, protected by the US military, is flooding world markets with pure cheap heroin.

They have a cash business now that is greater than the GDP of most nations, without the overhead. Just as with FARC in Colombia, the cartel functioned with corrupt government complicity, until they got too big. This happened quickly.

I’m sure this is what we are seeing with Al Qaeda. That is the reason for Obama’s schizophrenic policy in the Middle East.

Nobody’s doing that, obviously.

But calling it “Chinese oil” is a de-facto legitimization of communism either way.

The ideology is not non-corrupt to begin with.

I find it so ironic that thanks to the Soros $Billion campaign to bash Bush, and the war in Iraq, Obama’s abuse of military power is limited.

Nobody is going to support a full fledged war in Iraq now.

The only problem is Obama is very capable of lying about it.

half of Iraq’s oil goes to China http://economy.money.cnn.com/2013/06/03/china-iraq-oil/

How many Chinese died to oust Saddam and rebuild Iraq?

Not buying China’s whining that they “don’t have the energy to care about getting involved” - in anything except pumping oil and making money from the infrastucture our sacrifices made possible

Rinse and repeat. No US troops to Iraq to secure de facto Chinese oilfields.
as if obama who bowed to the president of China cares.
after all they hold our debt, so we owe them our military

Yes; the US troops should only secure oil that goes to the US, cutting off China. Giving China the oil contract in 2008 was most certainly the Democratic Congress’s doing.

Russia’s going to get a ‘win’ with Obama’s help.

So is Iran.

Why shouldn’t the Chinese get theirs?

Isn’t this about the United States in chaos? Besides the disk with the emails was destroyed... Republicans will be blamed while Valerie and Obama dance the dance of victory...

And the New York Times won’t notice...
