Volunteer researchers have uncovered mass graves in a South Texas cemetery that they believe contain the bodies of immigrants who died crossing into the U.S. illegally, according to published reports Saturday. The discovery at Sacred Heart Burial Park in Falfurrias came in the last two weeks, as Baylor University anthropologist Lori Baker and Krista Latham, a forensic anthropologist at the University of Indianapolis, and their students worked as part of a multi-year effort to identify immigrants who've died in the area near the U.S.-Mexico border.
Teams unearthed remains in trash bags, shopping bags, body bags or without a container at all, according to the Corpus Christi Caller Times. In one burial, bones of three bodies were inside one body bag. In another, at least five people in body bags and smaller plastic bags were piled on top of each other. Skulls also were found in biohazard bags placed between coffins

Then you know more than I do.
What we need is a co-operative zone that runs 100 miles deep into the Mexican border. Build housing for illegals, current and future, community structure, and transportation with biometrics to ferry them back and forth for work.
Those who hire illegals can pay for it. Once we build their
society back in their country, they will go home to it.
States, hospitals, colleges, supermarkets (EBTs), etc know exactly how much illegals cost the States.
Invest in them staying in their country but controlled work entry/exit. Shift the social costs back to Mexico - and there will be money rushing to the new economy south of the border from everywhere.
Push the cost envelope back where it belongs.
It was probably the Mexican coyotes that buried them. They don’t want to get caught smuggling human cargo.
Some of the coyotes human cargo probably died. They will load illegals in trucks with no air.
“Their families deserve to know what happened to them at the very least:
What?
Says who?
What is this “deserves” you speak of. Are you going to pay for those identifications and investigations? Doubtful.
“ore questions the better to focus as much attention as possible on this travesty and sacrilege. This amounts to a Potters field of course, but where are the churches who are encouraging peple to rush up here into this kind of jeopardy.”
You are totally full of crap! Which church is that you speak of?
They are lucky their remains weren’t burned into ashes and scattered into the wind. You want to pay for a decent burial,,go for it! Start a FB page and raise funds and YOU do it. How DARE you tell the US taxpayer they have to pay for illegal crosses after their death. KMA!
If they don’t die here in the first place , you don’t have worry about the forensics is my answer to that. On the other hand , a truly compassionate pro-amnesty group should break their own bank to be sure the i’d’s are made.
Yeah , there are churches who encourage illegal immigration, and my point, if you could read, is they should use their own funds to do this work and if they don’t they are hypocrites. You are so defensive , you don’t even recognize a golden opportunity to turn he debate. I won’t ping the moderator to report abuse on you because you represent a point of view that is a loser’s argument.
why don’t the south american journalists come up here and win the Pulitzer prize by warning their nations that immigrants are dying up here?
You’re thinking like a loser. The people who come across are going to continue to die, the way to stop the need for funerals is to prevent the deaths. That’s why you seal the border. But you react to this news like an abused child, expecting the media to turn it into a club to beat conservatives with.
Yay! You see the possibilities! Turn the liberals arguments against them.
My approach on this story is to make it big, yours is to try to repress it. I think it hurts pro-amnesty, you think it helps them . BTW I was instructed minutely by a moderator on the point of my use of “like a loser” vs. your calling me a “loser.” Mine is not abuse, your’s is. So smile when you say that.
You parse words words like an Alinskyite.
There have always been people who died crossing the border. 30+ years ago my husband found a human skull in his hunting pasture. Just a skull, no other bones, it had been there for several years. It could have been dehydration, disease, murder, snakebite, no idea why the person died. He would have been better off if he had stayed at home.

Mexican coyotes are using body bags and biohazard bags? Not very likely.
Compassion is a wall, so NONE of them die.
It was the Irish nuns that did it, right?
/sarcasm off/
shovel ready job.
