Posted on 06/21/2014 3:11:27 PM PDT by blueyon
On Friday, Mac Slavo reported on Congressman Darrell Issa's (R-CA) statement in which he called the Internal Revenue Service's claim that Lois Lerner's hard drive crash resulted in a loss of emails "ridiculous." Most of us know that information from crashed hard drives can be recovered, though it costs a lot of money. However, as Mac pointed out, we could simply obtain a copy from the National Security Agency since they are collecting this kind of information. But something more telling has come to light: The IRS uses as an email archiving company to back up its emails.
That's right, Sonasoft, whose slogan is "email archiving done right" touts the IRS as a customer.

The IRS guy who testifed this week needs a contempt charge, and some jail time.
I hope the capital police are there guarding Sonasoft’s entrances & exits.
In an incredible coincidence, as we will be told, the outside company’s copies of the emails were accidentally destroyed when their server crashed. Nothing to do about it, nothing to see here...
A woman who works for Sonasoft called in to the Mark Levin show last week. She first explained that her company contracted to archive IRS e-mails. She then said that the IRS never contacted them about having any problems. Which they would have done if they had ever had a data loss problem.
Nice work (from their website):

The only catch is the likelihood the Republicans don’t have the stones to do anything about it.
Thank you so much for posting this!
Wow! Fodder for an advertisement, or a Sat night live skit! (Or a Mad magazine page.)
No, the risk would be to allow anyone at all from the government even near Sonasoft
Sonasoft is jumping up and down yelling “subpoena our records! We’ve got the e-mails” and the Republicans are thinking “hmmm, we need to look into corrupt peanut vendors in MLB next week.”
“Disaster Recovery Exchange solutions from Sonasoft
Sonasoft provides disaster recovery solutions for Microsoft Servers that lowers the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Sonasofts disk-to-disk system allows data to be stored on the same server, DAS (Direct Attached Storage), NAS (Network Attached Storage), or IP SAN (IP Storage Area Network) using Sonasofts software as often as once per minute.
In the case of a hardware or software failure, Sonasofts products can recover the information to the same or to a new server at disk-transfer and LAN speeds. For companies that cannot tolerate any downtime, Sonasofts Point-Click Recovery has the ability to create a redundant, stand-by server, able to go online immediately.”
Ha! that’s what pisses me off & makes me think all these hearings are just dog & pony shows...not one congress critter asked the IRS slime guy if they have an offsite archive.
Wow. That’s very damning. She needs to testify.
Before we get too excited, the contract looks like $13,000 which seems awfully low for backing up all of the IRS emails.
“Many city, state and federal government organizations have successfully implemented Sonasoft government email archiving solution for high availability and disaster recovery.”
“Personally, I don’t trust Paul Ryan “
Neither do I.
I’m sure someone from Sonasoft would be glad to testify. They have to be called to The Hill to do it though. Better yet, just bring the e-mails.
It might be time for Boehner to offer her limited transactional immunity for her testimony. If it is discovered that she lies in her testimony, the immunity disappears.
Everything in it’s time folks. Hearings aren’t conducted like an episode of CSI. The Watergate hearings went on for months and months and eventually we’ll get to the bottom of this.
Yep, I have lost all hope and faith that it is anything other than a Kabuki Theater in DC.
Think of the good publicity! "When everyone in the world thinks your data is lost, Sonasoft comes through! No one protects your data better than we do!"
Dog Ate Email Archiving Company's Computer.
It would be a disservice to the company not to allow them to testify and show that their services are top rate. The downside of this being ignored is that the company gets a hit to their credibility . . . because it is then implied that they lost the emails that were backed up, supposedly by them.
The question is, for how long have they had the contract to do these backups. Maybe they just started this year.
"Only the NSA keeps better records than Sonasoft!" lol
It's just how this corrupt "Two-Party Cartel" works together to hold power.
I’m afraid I’ve finally put that tin-foil hat on and nothing short of mass convictions and jail time for 0bama, Holder, Hillary and a few dozen others is going to convince me to take it off.
No kidding. Jail. But he has only been with the IRS since December, 2013. Before that he was with Freddie Mac. He even worked with the Teamsters Pension Fund! I want to know why the committed didn’t drag the bums who were in charge at the time out of retirement and grill them, too! And why not call IRS Information Technology officers? They were beating up a guy who had absolutely nothing to do with anything!
Sort of reminds me of Vince Fosters x-ray machine problems.
So does Issa know about this yet?
So here’s the next phase. The NSA had a full year to ensure every trace of Lerner’s “missing” emails have been wiped from the ether. If by some miracle Sonasoft has one single IRS email Obama or Holder will swarm in and declare executive privilege and the issue will vanish like Fast and Furious.
Even if it was only on her hard drive - she had to send the e-mails to someone, didn’t she? Why can’t we recover most of them from other IRS employees?
Supposedly it was only the e-mails sent to outside agencies that were lost. And the WH has said they looked and Lerner never sent them an e-mail. And if you don’t believe that you’re a racist!
Also was in good working order afterwards too. Same pattern, absolutely nothing done about it.
If Obama’s criminals do not get prison sentences, open season will be declared on conservatives. End of effective opposition.
It will constitute a coupe d’ etat without guns or guillotines.
I guess I did forget that. And didn’t the coroner log in Foster’s car keys yet the keys were found in his car or something like that?
Could it be too much to hope that this is a GOP feint? That something’s going to happen yet, but on the QT?
Dog ate their computers too.
“We find things that even the I.R.S. cannot find.”
Corporate emails are kept on a server . . . not an individual’s personal computer (unless they are using their personal account to conduct government business - and that would be illegal) - so this whole hard drive thing is bogus - and the sad thing is that even the lowliest janitor can see it, but our rhinos in congress are so afraid of the big bad dhims that they are cowering and peeing all over themselves.
All the president’s men that were involved with Watergate (the cover up) went to jail . . . and this (and so much more of nobama’s regime goes far beyond Watergate, and with this one maybe no one died - while with the others, people did.
Big bad dog.
Yeah. Then there is that.
I think they showed up like the “magic bullet” at the morgue, and that’s after Vince was searched at the scene.
I know. Multiple servers. And I'm just a point-and-click idiot with computers.
That’s right. It has been a long time since I read all there was to read about that. I remember what I concluded when it was all very fresh ... Hillary had Vince Foster killed. People have been convicted of murder on far less circumstantial evidence.
I just wanted one Republican to ask that IRS person why Lois Lerner took the 5th if she had nothing to hide.
