I closed the window and went to reuters.com again, and clicked on the (CDC) story again, and the same screen came up. I closed the window again and clicked on the first story and same thing. It is now 3:32am PDT the URL shows as sea.sy/indexs

Reuters.com is working normally. Most likely there is some malware on your client computer which is redirecting your browser traffic in addition to keyloggers, spyware, and a rootkit.

Interesting story - protocol says wait 48 hours after dosing the anthrax spores to check for life.

Instead, the wait ended after 24 hours. They "didn't see any new growth," said Dr Paul Meechan, director of the CDC's environmental health and safety compliance office, said in an interview. "At that point, they assumed the material was safe."

Duh.

Thanks, WhiskeyX. I went offline and did a system scan with McA and Spybot, and not so much as a cookie out of place.

Back online and off to reuters, click on first story listed, and within 10 seconds, boom. Propaganda screen. Back offline, reboot, McA scan again, back to reuters at 4:20am, click CDC story, get 20 seconds or so of reading and boom again. Doesn’t happen on any other website. Heck if I know.

I like the SEA...I wish they’d take over some “mainstream” news outlets again.

it did look interesting and I was going to post the darn thing (and I probably still would except I still can’t access the article!). I’m feeling pretty stupid right now but, anyhooo... Thanks for pulling out the quote that sums that story up!

I’m getting the same “Hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army” message when I log in from Chrome but not from IE. On Chrome I’ve got DoNotTrackMe and AdBlock running, so it’s possible that one of those extensions has been hacked.

Thank you, for confirming the screen. By 5am, I was beginning to wonder if the narrative for “The Outer Limits” was cueing up to play next!
