I have no confidence Congress has the stomach to push this issue. Ever hear of Sandy Berger?

He got a slap on the wrist for stealing secret documents. It was a big joke to the Democrats.

Perhaps it was sufficient (for all the good that could be done) to highlight how fishy the IRS was being. That might set the stage for IRS reform bills in the future.

The IRS conducted itself with more honor in the past; but this is now a demoralized generation. Hillary Clinton may have gotten castigated for saying “What difference does it make?” but maybe her question is valid! From a Machiavellian point of view.

But let us by all means rise above the Machiavellian by calling the Lord into the picture. And Congress can’t do that for you and neither can the President or even the Court. Whose name is at the top of the Constitution? It is yours and mine.

Shouldn’t they all be charged with Felony Wire Tapping, Felony Eavesdropping, Conspiracy to Obstruct Justice, Violating the Civil Rights of Millions of Citizens...??? Sounds like a Death Sentence for an average citizen.

I suppose it’s a stupid question, based on the average stupidity of Alfred Q. Citizen and Latisha Z. Recipient, but is anybody, anywhere feeling any safer since the Patriot Act, and all its many permutations, perspirations and indignations?

the difference being the ACLU wanted to get the information. congress... not so much. just more show trials to keep the people placated while biding their time ... running out the ‘is it still relevant’ clock while getting as much as they can for themselves
