Gallup: George W. Bush favorability 6 points higher than Obama

Given that Barack Obama and the Democrats waged his first presidential campaign on the premise that George W. Bush was the worst president ever, and that Hope and Change were just the ticket, the latest Gallup Poll results must be disheartening:
Gallup goes out of its way to soften the blow:
Americans typically rate presidents more positively after they leave office
, so Obama's relatively worse standing than his predecessors is not surprising. However, the current poll represents Obama's worst favorable rating
And it explains away Carter’s dismal showing:
Though Carter left office with similarly poor job approval ratings, his lower favorable ratings today are mostly attributable to one in six Americans not having an opinion of him. That includes 36% of those younger than 30, all of whom were born after Carter left office in 1981. The only other time Gallup measured opinions of Carter with this question format, in 2007, 69% rated him favorably, 27% unfavorably, and 4% had no opinion.
Gallup also allows for the possibility that George W. Bush may rise further in public esteem:

I’m stunned. So 6 into being on the job, results and competence may matter after all.
This is hugh. I’m series.

Considering that, unlike Bush, 0bama has a permanent 13% which will never admit he’s anything but the Second Coming, those numbers are incredibly bad.

I agree 4 should have been enough.
How in the hell can obamatollah have a 47% favorability?

Imagine how much higher it would be if the commie lib ‘RATS would stop blaming him for everything bad that happens to their regime.

A Presidential term of 6 year may be the way to go.

That was not my point. At 4 years of failing on the job, most people would be fired. But not this guy. To fire him based on poor performance would be racist.
The MSM doesn’t bother covering the Gallup ratings anymore. Obama’s WH hates Gallup...and has had multiple tiffs with them......
This won’t be seen by many people..because the MSM is still in love with their King Obama....and they have their marching orders.
Rush has a montague of Wolf Blitzed breathlessly announcing that Bush's numbers have dropped to the lowest numbers of any president ever... fifteen times an hour.
Bet Wolf Blitzed won't mention Ubama's numbers once.

That’s great and all, but Bush’s refusal to secure our southern border after 9/11 was criminal. He also got a good start on spending us into oblivion. We haven’t really had a president who was good for America since Reagan.

REAGAN MISSING — This is supposed to be a poll of modern day Presidents. It includes Carter and every President thereafter. Hmmmmm.

Think about how bad you’d have to be to rank lower than Carter.

I’ll never forget the video/photo of Bush walking in a parade waiving a Mexican flag - absolutely disgraceful! But typical of a liberal RINO like the other Bushies.
“W” opened the door for obamatollah’s election.

Well well well, 47%, now where have we heard that before?
There is no real difference between Obama, Bush, Clinton etc. These people are picked to be president by those who really control what happens in this country. The more divisive the better. People are led to think there opinions matter and manipulated into an us versus them mentality. People that are divided can never know their true power.
Perfectly stated. 4 should have been enough.

(Oh great 3 more years of crap to wade through....)
Probably the most likely thing in this poll for Obama is the Obamatons are unhappy he’s not liberal enough.
