Poll: Lankford holds narrow lead over Shannon (Oklahoma alert)

Fifth District Congressman James Lankford held a narrow lead over former Oklahoma Speaker of the House T.W. Shannon heading into the final week of their U.S. Senate primary campaign, according to the latest Oklahoma Poll.

Lankford led Shannon 41 percent to 38 percent in a survey of 415 likely voters in Tuesday’s election. The survey was conducted June 14-18 by SoonerPoll.com and has a 4.81 percent margin of error.

Former state Sen. Randy Brogdon was at 3 percent, with the other four candidates on Tuesday’s ballot totaling 2 percent. Sixteen percent were undecided.

The poll results indicate a runoff between Lankford and Shannon is likely despite the low total for the other five candidates on the ballot.

It Shannon finishes first place in the primary, he’ll win the runoff for sure. I hope that committed conservatives in Oklahoma vote in large humbers this Tuesday.

I thought Shannon was supposed to upside down these polls, after the conservative heavy weights blanketed the place in support of him, especially in the primary with the base all a twitter.

A little surpising it’s still a toss up, and poll favoring Lankford, for a run off.

How do we tell these people apart if we’re not from OK?

Shannon is more conservative and he’d be a major celebrity for the cause if he were elected.

It' simple.....Langford is endorsed by Hucklebee

Shannon is endorsed by Palin and Cruz.

Many may be too uninformed to make a real choice.
