Obama has a plan to ruin the seafood supply chain with regulations and it’s gonna cost ya.
Secretary of State John Kerry has found a new cause now that he’s fresh off his mid-East failures. He is directing federal agencies to work on developing a program to combat seafood fraud upon orders from the imperial president.
This follows up Mr. Obama’s proclamation that he would implement his climate change agenda using a pen and a phone. It also follows Mr. Obama’s seizure of a huge swath of the Pacific Ocean for the government, making it inaccessible for drilling and fishing.
In a recent delusional moment, Kerry said climate change is the “world’s most fearsome” weapon of mass destruction. He added that “the science of climate change is leaping out at us like a scene from a 3D movie. It’s warning us; it’s compelling us to act.”
Al Qaeda isn’t. The Taliban isn’t – we send them back out into the field to kill US soldiers. ISIS isn’t the world’s most fearsome WMD. A science that is completely unresolved that might affect us a hundred years from now is more urgent than terrorist groups threatening to destroy the US and Israel.
Barack Obama is hell-bent on fighting seafood fraud as part of his front on the climate change war he told West Point cadets about at their recent commencement exercises.
It will mean more regulations and higher prices.
If there is an opportunity to hurt businesses, Mr. Obama won’t let it pass him by.
He is passing his own version of The Law of the Sea Treaty using a pen and phone and this is one notch in his belt though he has only just begun.
He wants to “ensure that seafood sold in the United States is legally and sustainably caught and to combat the negative impacts of seafood fraud on the United States.”
“It shall be the policy of the United States for all executive departments and agencies (agencies) to combat IUU fishing and seafood fraud by strengthening coordination and implementation of relevant existing authorities and, where appropriate, by improving the transparency and traceability of the seafood supply chain. All agencies and offices charged with overseeing the seafood supply chain and verifying the authenticity of its products shall implement and enforce relevant policies, regulations, and laws to ensure that seafood sold in the United States is legally caught and accurately labeled.”
“There is established, as a subcommittee reporting to the National Ocean Council established by Executive Order 13547 of July 19, 2010 (Stewardship of the Ocean, Our Coasts, and the Great Lakes), a Presidential Task Force on Combating Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated Fishing and Seafood Fraud (Task Force), to be co-chaired by the Secretaries of State and Commerce, or their designees.”

Huh? DOD?
Why would they need the DOD for this?
It is a war according to him. Fishermen and consumers of seafood will be the enemy.

Why do you think that he is doing it? Before the 2008 election, he said that should he be elected, he would transform the United States of America[only he used the word “transform”]. He was elected. In 2012, he said, You have a choice which way you want the Country to go, my plan or Romney’s plan. He was re-elected. So I guess that the people who voted, or those counting the votes, wanted his plan. So, again I ask,”Why are people so surprised, or shocked that he is destroying the United States?”
The enemy is on OUR SOIL,it's true, unlike WWII. So this war is going to take some time, until we elect a Conservative President, and as many Conservatives in other positions of power as we can muster, and bring to trial all those guilty of treason, and punished accordingly. Communism/socialism/marxism/muslim collaborators must be smashed like the cockroaches they are. It is a evil, insidious idelogy/disease,and they must be destroyed. So, let's grab a hold of our courage from the depths of our respective guts, and make this our number one priority, After taking care of family & work obligations, we must put down our electronic toys, and other less important pursuits,and make this goal of winning this war our SECOND most important priority, instead of a wish, or exclaiming, “oh, America is doomed.” No negativity, but instead more action. Remember how our Forefathers fought their war & many died in the process. Remember our Constitution, our liberty and freedom and the wisdom of our Forefathers to protect us. But, as Benjamin Franklin said, freedom is free, IF you can keep it. So, let's stay focused,and win this war,so help us God. WE citizens are AMERICANS,and we don't take no crap from any socialist/communist/marxist/muslim collaborator in OUR White HOUSE.
Billions will be spent monitoring for illegal fishing while the border will be ignored. They will tell us it is impossible to monitor thousands of miles of remote border while plans will be drafted and a system will be put in place to monitor thousands of miles of open ocean... In the middle of nowhere.
The real back story to this is that when John Kerry was deployed to Cambodia in December 1968 by President-Elect Richard Nixon, the USO had a screening of “Finding Nemo,” and ever since then Kerry has believed in the motto “Fish are friends, not food.”

Ha...and the recent ban on wood used for shelving when aging cheese....and the new investigation into causes of bee loss (pesticides and insecticides)...expect much higher cheese costs and rules to shut off use of agricultural chemicals (petrochemicals)

My food budget, for one person is roughly 250-275 a month. I’ve always lived really well on that. This year it’s averaging 300-320.
No one should live without bacon. That’s why people are unhappy. If everyone could have dietary laws that would allow them to eat bacon- I do believe we would have world peace.
