This year, many of the speakers were lesser-known Dominican activists and political strategists. The headliner was Dominican entertainer Frederick Martinez, also known as El Pacha, a popular Spanish-language radio and television host.
Those changes to the guest list tell almost the entire story of the political peril that threatens to end one of the iconic careers in American politics

Why is it better for them to have Rangel leave in 2 or 4 years from now?

It would be nice to defeat Pelosi as well, but she has been coroneted for life. At least she will remain a doormat in the next GOP congress.

Well, he does appear a little worried.

Rangel will win. This is just hispanic hype moreso than getting rid of a member of the Congressional Black Caucasians.

No seat, no protection. He’ll be prosecuted and likely become a jailbird.

Not that I want Rangel around a moment longer, I do not. However, if Rangel was smart he would change with the times and make attempts to appeal to the hispanic community. If you take a good look at Rangel and La Pacha, his much younger campaign rival, La Pacha looks as though he could be Rangel’s son or grandson. Rangel looks more a mulatto or carribean black anyway. But he’s too set in his rabble rousing ways.
Please. Rangle is in no danger. It doesn’t matter who votes. It only matters who counts the votes.

Well, if you are really in the Sonoran desert you know that Hispanics are not African Americans. They don't have the same grievances, and frankly many of them don't like the Rangel type politician very much.
Rangel is in the top ten of the most corrupt politicians in D.C.......and that’s saying a lot.

Internal Rat fight...but old charlie needs to go just the same. Why do these pols hang on as leaving in the stiff horizontal position is their ultimate goal? The country club benefits in DC must be to die for.

Let me see if I understand, I commented on a HEADLINE and you found something racial in it.
As for me “really” being in the Sonoran Desert, do you even have a clue where the Sonoran Desert is?
