Washington -- When President Obama stood before students in Southern California a week ago ridiculing those who deny climate science, he wasn't just road testing a new political strategy to a friendly audience. He was trying to drive a wedge between younger voters and the Republican Party.

The only change I’ve seen is them going from calling it “global warming” to “climate change.”
I guess they got tired of looking foolish every winter.
OK younger voters
the reason gasoline will hit $5 a gallon,
electricity rates will double,
food will be prohibitive,
you will live in stack em, pack em transit housing complex,
and you won't have a job
is because of
the Democrats global warming crusade.
Comprende?
OK ... maybe not a bumper sticker, but it'll print out on an 8X11 and tape to my rear window

#global hyperoble is not sustainable
Seeing as how AGW is not on the radar of the overwhelming majority of American voters, this strategy is at best questionable, and at worst, asinine.
Anything to divert from the numerous detrimental policies that this administration champions along with their various scandals.
They’re playing to the ignorant, and the true problem is, from multiple angles, it’s the correct move for them, and the best they’ve got.
Civilization in this country is doomed. They keep pushing and pushing and although they likely know where it will lead, they have no other choice. They’ll take their chances. They will keep power or watch this country disintegrate and they only care about one thing, and that is to accumulate and hold power via the federal leviathan.
Not very much of a ‘wedge’ since Republicans are united against environmental extremism, as well there are less and less of the general public that believe in radical ‘climate change’, but let’s let the Dems continue to think so, their self deluded lies only help our side.

Agreed. There are fewer and fewer people believing this nonsense. There is, unfortunately, some GOP movement under the radar to embrace the science of climate change (can’t understand why) but even GOPers that believe humans play a part in climate change don’t believe it is worth destroying our entire economy to “address” the problem.
I think that College Democrat homos like to use this as a “Wedgie” issue more among themselves.

The scandal of fiddled global warming data
The US has actually been cooling since the Thirties, the hottest decade on record

A scene from ‘The Day After Tomorrow’: in reality, officially approved scientists fudge the data
By Christopher Booker 4:04PM BST 21 Jun 2014
When future generations try to understand how the world got carried away around the end of the 20th century by the panic over global warming, few things will amaze them more than the part played in stoking up the scare by the fiddling of official temperature data. There was already much evidence of this seven years ago, when I was writing my history of the scare, The Real Global Warming Disaster.
But now another damning example has been uncovered by Steven Goddards US blog Real Science, showing how shamelessly manipulated has been one of the worlds most influential climate records, the graph of US surface temperature records published by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
Goddard shows how, in recent years, NOAAs US Historical Climatology Network (USHCN) has been adjusting its record by replacing real temperatures with data fabricated by computer models. The effect of this has been to downgrade earlier temperatures and to exaggerate those from recent decades, to give the impression that the Earth has been warming up much more than is justified by the actual data. In several posts headed Data tampering at USHCN/GISS, Goddard compares the currently published temperature graphs with those based only on temperatures measured at the time. These show that the US has actually been cooling since the Thirties, the hottest decade on record; whereas the latest graph, nearly half of it based on fabricated data, shows it to have been warming at a rate equivalent to more than 3 degrees centigrade per century.
When I first began examining the global-warming scare, I found nothing more puzzling than the way officially approved scientists kept on being shown to have finagled their data, as in that ludicrous hockey stick graph, pretending to prove that the world had suddenly become much hotter than at any time in 1,000 years. Any theory needing to rely so consistently on fudging the evidence, I concluded, must be looked on not as science at all, but as simply a rather alarming case study in the aberrations of group psychology.
The millennials are all under or unemployed thanks to the Sunni Muslim tyrant in the WH..
If the climate is being effected by humans (and I really don’t know for sure), I DO know that our nation is one of the best on environmental issues for a whole host of reasons. We aren’t the problem.
The left never wants to go after their ‘comrades’ in ChiCom, the new USSRussia, and others..
Most young people don’t care about global warming except for the few committed lefties among them. Most of them are concerned about a crappy job market that awaits all of them when they graduate from college with a mountain of debt to pay off.
I HOPE they do this. Fewer and fewer believe this crap each year. Some things are so ridiculous and obviously fraudulent you can’t even brainwash college tards to believe them. The global warming fantasy crap is one such thing.
I haven’t heard any young adults who give a crap about this, unfortunately the ones I talked to seem believe that gay marriage is a basic human right,
“I think that College Democrat homos like to use this as a Wedgie issue more among themselves.”
I can think of some democrats who desperately need an Atomic Wedgie.
