U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry just finished a meeting with Nouri al-Maliki in Baghdad, which not expected to be friendly, after the U.S. entertained the idea that the Iraqi Prime Minister should resign. A few days prior to his Middle East trip, the senior U.S. diplomat held a conference call with Sunni Arab leaders. According to a senior Arab diplomat briefed on the call, the U.S. contingent did not fully grasp the situation.
"We felt the Americans were greatly misinformed," a senior Arab diplomat told The Wall Street Journal. "The insurgency isn't just about ISIS, but Sunnis fighting back against injustice."

That may be so, but more urgently he is trying to fill as many positions within the state department with lesbians, homosexuals, transexuals, and transgendered staffers as possible. Sheeesh! Let the man work!/s
John Kerry is a SOURCE of disinformation - about Iraq, and many other subjects.
I have a plan
maliki and obama resign at the same time
both won the popular vote - multiple times
but both have stacked the civil service, purged the military, used the powers of office to abuse the rights of political opponents, and demonstrated the inability to work with political opponents to form an “inclusive” government
and both can be accused of personal agendas and leadership failures that are tearing apart their countries
I would suggest a joint resignation ceremony

His priorities need adjustment.
That can be said of the entire Liberal element in America.
I DARE him/the Obama mal-administration to appoint a “transgender” ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
Kerry is likely very well informed but is simply too stupid to grasp the information.
They are not uninformed. He’s doing what his boss and his marxist mind tell him to do, and it’s not in the best interests of the USA.
The only one’s calling ISIS, ISIL is the Obama Administration and the EU. Likely because use of the word Syria or Sham would draw attention to the source of ISIL US funded power grab.
Now they want to paint this as a Civil War...no one in the region believes it nor is it a Holy War between Islamic teachings.
It is what it is....and Free Republic had it’s share of people behind the bombing and us intervention in Syria so even us has a hand in their rise.

Juan Kerry is greatly misinformed about, pretty much everything.
The anti-Assad voices certainly have diminished recently.
The only logical outcome from arming rebels and terrorists in their fight against Assad, was that rebels and terrorists would eventually come into control of Assad's vast stores of WMD. My guess is the GOP-E Neo Cons wanted to just bomb those facilities before the rebels and terrorists advanced on them. Their closet homo love interest Obama, backed out at the last minute. Then the hated Putin rode in and messed it all up. Life is tough for the GOP-E NeoCon.
