I think we should take the idea seriously that leftists and Marxists are trying to create their own religion.

Consider all the rules leftist dominated universities come up with concerning tolerance and social justice. In another age they would have said "God says" before making all their pronouncements. They get around church-state separation today by simply making these assertions from a position of scientific authority (though the positions themselves aren't necessarily scientific).

I'd love to see a supreme court challenge against them on the basis that the positions they push are religious ideas even though they don't identify a god.

There’s such a thing as bad religion, even such a thing as religion that had a good name going bad. Just look at some of the scandals, both Catholic in name only and Protestant in name only, that grab headlines on FR.

Some monomaniacs need to learn to COOL IT. Then they will see really it was about a moment of blindness and rage, not anything truly good being impugned.
